What most people don't realize is the keybord Herbie was using controlled multiple synthesizers without M.I.D.I. Herbie would push a button on the keyboards neck to change to the synthesizer he wants to control. The keyboard controller was very tough to get perfect

Recuerdo cuando lo ví en la Tv. Todos los amigos comentamos este video y sus detalles el día siguiente. Es un gran recuerdo de ese año. 👍👍🇨🇱 desde Chile.

I was an aspiring jr. high break dancer and managed to record this (the whole show) to VHS, and I absolutely wore out this section. Absolutely blew my mind when the robots started dancing. Amazing creativity in the performance and set design.

I remember seeing this when it happened and it still encapsulates everything that made the 80s, despite its other failings, the greatest decade of pop culture creativity. From Blue Man Group to Mystery Science Theater to so many other brilliant creations that have stood the test of time, the things that came out of the creativity of the 1980s are unparalleled before or since.

I remember when this song first came out. It's a blend of Kraftwerk, scratching that started in New York and the 80s punk scene out of England.

I remember seeing this on TV as a kid and losing my mind when the robots started dancing. It was terrible back then because you couldn't KZfaq it and watch it over and over...you had to REMEMBER what you saw...😂

It was another time, a better world back in the 80's, I was bless and lucky to be a teenager then and enjoy the 80's músic at his peak, it's like dream to have lived through those times, the best music ever recorded and the videos too!

Only Herbie Hancock could have pulled this one off live and not have it turn into a complete mess. Dude was a genius.
