This place in an insult to our outstanding National Parks. Cheap tourist trap selling garbage to visitors. Restaurants are overpriced and the overall feel of the place is similar to the a circus walk. It is not pretty, and all you see is cheap T-shirts flapping in the breeze. A stain in beautiful Montana.

I remember a time in the not so distant past this was a little nicer than the Coliseum in Edmonton, but Rogers is no contest the better arena.

It's such a nice farmer market where I did some walking around this market but damn it is such a shame covid just have to ruined this amazing market since some of the Stores I remember that used to exist close down because of covid! since I remember at 3:34 there used to be a retro gaming stand where someone would sell physical games And even old gaming consoles too but it's now gone which it is a shame to see it gone..

I remember when this building and arena first opened up 40 years ago in October 1983. It was state of the art for it's time back then, was the envy of the NHL league, and played a huge success in use for the 1988 Winter Olympics. Over the years the building has gone through renovations and suffered a lot of damage during the June 2013 historic flooding event natural diaster. Today sadly the building and arena is one of the oldest in the NHL (only MSG in NYC is older, but has a billion dollars in renovations), and is the laughing stock of the NHL. Players on both the Flames and opposing teams are embarrassed to play there, dressing rooms are a joke, etc., and now the concrete roof is crumbling. When the Flames finally move into their new modern state of the art arena in a few years from now, it's gonna be sad when the Saddledome is demolished either by controlled detonation or the wrecking ball and escavoraters. Whenever that happens, I'm sure it's gonna be highly emotional for many Calgarians. Personally I feel that the City of Calgary should save, repair, preserve and designate the Saddledome a historic site, I'm sure the Calgary Stampede will find a use for the building, but due to financial responsibility, I highly doubt that will happen, the Saddledome will be eventually demolished.

As an Oiler fan, thanks for the background on this landmark. Too bad it will likely be demolished, as you stated.

Highest town/settlement in British Columbia. South side of the valley so no sun in winter. No school, clinic, police etc. although it did when I lived there a million yrs ago (no clinic though). Miles away from any amenities on a crowded sketchy road...although being improved. Frequent power interruptions. Check it out in winter. But a very interesting place.

Yes indeed this is Kelowna ,, no question the better side ,,, obviously you didn't move up a couple of blocks around Leon. Plenty of homeless souls, souls with mental issues, drug dealers, pimps and hookers. Don't even consider moving here unless you have plenty of money. Rental accommodation is ridiculously high, food prices are extremely expensive and house prices are amongst the highest in Canada. The crime rate in our city is about the highest in Canada ( issues related to transients especially in the summertime ). As far as health care is concerned there are numerous walk in clinics, finding a family doctor is very difficult at times. Plenty of higher end restaurants in town, with a number of them you will definitely find, low quality food, high prices, small portions and indifferent service. Sports, if you are a golfer ( like I am ) don't expect to secure membership at any of the golf clubs in this area. There are no memberships available at any of the local golf clubs, green fees will average $ 135.00 ( cart and tax included ). Plenty of employment in the service trade ,, $ 15 / $ 18.00 per hour ,,, try and survive here on that wage ! But Kelowna certainly is a lovely city and has plenty on the plus side. I seen numerous video clips on You-Tube regarding Kelowna ,, most of them place by real estate agents, don't trust them in any way shape or form. If you really are contemplating moving to Kelowna you simply deserve to know the FULL story and not the " rosy " one's that real estate agents post.

Exactly. All these people who actually fall for the fantasy world depicted on YT by real estate agents. I know some who moved back where they came from once they experienced the reality. Basically LMD East.
