After listening to the captain, I just have to say what a gentleman! Instead of making the story about him and what he did, he couldn’t stop praising the people he works with and giving them the accolades. That’s a sign of a great leader and a great fireman.

In my whole career I’ve never heard anything like this! He’s the real deal. Brother I don’t even know what to say. Congratulations on a great career. You’re the man!

When he was talking about covering his ears trying to back out, head hitting things he thought wouldn’t be there etc it took me back to a similar situation. My heart was pounding listening to him lol. Great stuff guys

Can you guys find someone who worked the Cueno press building fire in 1989? Fhe back story of who owned it and what was in it aside from the massive job would be a very interesting story. If you didn’t know, it was the big chemical fire building at the end of backdraft.

@@chicagosbraveststories5568 the guy who bought it before it was torched was a massive slum lord in the city. He had a side business where he would dispose of hazardous waste. But he wouldn’t dispose of it, he would store it in that series of interconnected buildings. Then he torched it and it was bad news.

Thank you Father for sharing your story. To say everyone was over whelmed would be an understatement. This was one of those fires you hoped never happened, but did. Thank you for your service. Enjoy retirement.

Tony!!!!!!! We love you Tony!!!!!! Tony is my favorite out of the whole cast and he's also the cutest out of all them! I would just absolutely love to meet Tony and get a picture with him! I would also love to see his firehouse (Firehouse 91) and even ride on Squad 2 with him because that would just be super cool! I would even love to do a shift with him so I could get a behind the scenes look at what he does! I have even thought about pursuing a career in the fire service because I love being out in my community, helping people and serving people! I even love waking up every morning and serving a great God! When I thought about pursuing a career in the fire service, Tony was the reason why I have thought about pursuing a career in the fire service because he has always inspired me to work hard and be the best that I can be so Tony thank you for inspiring me every single day!
