I want to add that at the time Michael made the video that The Daily Wire episodes were free to watch on youtube. At the moment I type this it still is free to watch. So Michael saying that he does not want to give money to The Daily Wire is also nonsense. It takes 10 seconds of google searching which he clearly did not do.

Thanks for doing this Raven Knight. I wrote an extensive criticism with timestamps under the Wisecrack video as a direct response to Michael but he removed it twice. In the video he made after that he said that he does not have the time to respond to lengthy comments. I eventually posted it in the comment section where it did not get removed but Michael consciously dodged my criticism instead of engaging with it. Anyway, thanks again for doing what is right.

Knights as a social class were definitely "evil" in the sense that they were a violent and repressive force, but... so were Samurai and so were Vikings. So we can put all that aside... I think they're easy villains, however, because they've mapped a big chunk of European history to them from Late Antiquity (Centurions) to Middle Ages (Crusaders) to Early Modern (Inquisitors/Conquistadors). So that makes them an easy set up to introduce lots of other characters and factions like the Ocelotl, Afeera, etc. Vikings are trapped in a fantasy version of 700-1100BCE Norse for the most part, with the Varangian Guard being the first exception. Samurai having a generally isolated regional history besides repelling foreign invasions also limits their utility. In other words, it's the natural conclusion of the way they set up the factions to begin with. That's also why it's probably not going to change any time soon.

I feel like the Lethality of Oikase is underrated: you can notice that her strike with the blunt end of the Naginata caused the Warden to cough up blood, meaning that it caused some severe internal bleeding. Even without using her blade, combine that with the fracture in the arm and being knocked unconscious by the chin strike, and that's a kill for sure, especially without modern surgical procedures. It would be a 3, at a minimum.
