Your information on Czechoslovakia splitting is quite wrong. First was the "Velvet Revolution", or "Gentle Revolution" in 1989. This was when the people of Czechoslovakia threw down the Communist government. It's called "Velvet" or "Gentle" because it was a largely non-violent revolution (as opposed to typical revolutions which are full-on civil wars) Then Czechoslovakia split on January 1st 1993. You were off by 10 years there. The split is sometimes referred to as the "Velvet Divorce", as a nod to the Velvet Revolution and because this was a peaceful separation as opposed to the typical ways countries split (wars of independence).

Your Slovak is so good, I was wondering what did you use to learn, I’m half Slovak, but my mom decided against speaking the language to me when I was little, so I can’t speak much Also I just realized how polite I’ve been raised to be because, as an American, I will always say hi to people and when I leave I make sure to say thank you and have a good day or weekend (especially if I don’t know them), and I remember once I overheard the cashiers talking abt how I always say that, but none of the other American kids that go there during lunch do, I am of course very proud of this lol
