Its still illegal but yes that's all you need. What i mean is if you live in California you need Cali plates. For out of state you can't daily drive it because cops are going to question why you have out of state plates while living in Cali. Now this is where the trick comes to play. You have to register the car within 20 day you're in Cali (which is like a couple dollars i forgot). But because we aren't going to do so you just have to stay away from cops and don't drive the car too often that cops will find it suspicious

@@user-fb6ol9tl7s we used a friend/familys address but you can do the LLC way. Benefits for us were how easy it is to title a jdm car and the permanent reg as well. California was a pain and a lot of money.

I have zero experience in engine swaps, which is why i'm here, but can't you just flip the part so that the MAF is facing upwards toward the hood? (again, i have zero experience. please do not take any offense if there is a very obvious reason.)

@@yueher2524 no worries, I’m not 100% positive but I think the Maf was already melted from the donor car, I don’t think it melted from the headers. Only reason is because it seems to be a common issue on the cars the motor comes out of according to online forums. I haven’t flipped it because it looks nicer hidden but I guess we will see if it melts again. lol

Have you considered placing the MAF farther away from the throttle body? I’ve heard some engines like the MAF a certain distance away from the throttle body. It might help with the heat soaking issue placing it farther away from the headers.

I don’t think it’s duraflex to be honest, the car came with the kit on from Japan. Must be some other rep brand.

Yeah it’s a duraflex n4 bumper, it took a little cutting and fiberglass work to get it to fit better but overall its good
