I remember one time my wife( Galatasaray Spor Kulübü fan) invite her friend(Fenerbahçe Spor Kulübü fan) to drink a coffe. They got coffe cans with their favorite clubs. My wife made a joke switching the cans( give her Galatasaray). Dang, they almost start a fight so I separate them. That how insane are football fans in Türkiye.

Let me put it this way : in the US basketball games are all about basketball, while in Europe basketball games are all about the clubs

I love euro basketball players. My favorite are Vladimir tkatchenko, Kresimir cosic, radivoj korac, Dimitris diamantidis, Ramūnas šiškauskas, Dejan bodiroga and Theodoros papaloukas. You people probably don't know these players, because you don't do your research and don't care about these players, only the nba, only the nba

Unfortunately, US Americans do not get it at all due to a lack of education and historical conscience. In Europe, soccer clubs are closely linked to cities, regions and therefore often industry sectors (today sponsors, e.g. mining, chemistry, automobile...) and therefore sometimes linked to unions...but in any case lonled to local culture / identity and centuries old rivalries that are not limited to sports. Thus, it sometimes looks like a proxy war. Soccer games are an outlet to let the authorities and higher-ups know the mood and will of the people. Thus, there can be political slogans (no party politics but just common sense) and ridicule of others and all kind of political reps (like traditionally during carnival season). Clubs are identity based and therefore, shared value driven....in some locations, it is almost like a religion or family tradition, cit. "from father to son" The self funded /-organized fan engagements are integral part of the game. And it is a demonstration of power of the common people being strong being staying unified and organized. They celebrate themselves, not only the soccer team. US sports is boring and weak (a lots of noise, no substance) because it is all about dumb consumption and money making only, very domesticised...no soul, no collective conscience or team spirit.

I think some creator should create a hi-lite real showing the growth in fans. From C. Clark’s Freshman year thru to the 2024 NCAA championship. It’s quite phenomenal but priceless to watch in succession.

There is Only 1 caitlin Clark, and despite all the unfair Trash talking by other Teams, players and people out there that have unfairly put on her, She has just Smiled, Been resilient, and continued showing The difference between just talented players, and Talented Players, and Academics, Class, and Humbleness. And She gives up her own personal time, by taking time ‘Off the Court’ for Charitable time for Hospitalized Children patients, and for Young people both girls and boys. In My Opinion, She is Simply a Class Act and genuinely Good Human Being on and Off the Basketball Court.

Sport isn't a joke in europe. Some clubs are over 150 years old. The nba as a league is 75 years old. You cant compare the 2. The hostory of these clubs are linked to class and politics. Its not some made up franchise you can move around the country like a caravan 😂 there are multiple generations who have supported the same it runs in your family. You don't get to support anyone else. It breeds legit rivalries and passion. Opposing players aren't trying to become friends neither. Thats a major problem for me in the nba. Durant the snake joins the team that just knocked him out. Lebron and curry and draymond all buddy after fighting in so many finals. It's sickening how that happens. We hate that bitch shit in europe. You aint no friends you're fucking enemys brah 😂
She is great but her 3 point shooting percentage isn't quite good.

Basketball and football fans in Europe are fuckung fanatics! I dare any american do go to any derby match in Europe in some 1st tier league and tell me afterwards how psyched and scared you were! Grand Derbi (Barcelona v Real M) Old firm derby (Celtic v Rangers) hell, even Silesia derby (Ruch v Górnik) you will leave that stadium trembling.

Best way to look at European sports is that it basically is a substitute to war 😅 If we can yell and scream to each other city to city, country to country than we don't have to fight And those hooligans who have to fight can go outside in the forest and handle business there

I was on vacation in New York last week and wanted to see an NBA game in the Madison Square Garden with 19800 people. I've never experienced anything so boring in my entire life. Here in Europe it is normal for the home team to be supported loudly with chants and drums, even in 2nd or 3rd league games. During the entire game and not just during breaks when the DJ is producing some kind of entertainment (like in the NBA). Why don't the Americans support their team?
