Was it ever explained why Melendez initially referred to all the artists, animators, painters and timers under the term, "graphic blandishment"?

This is a good reading. I picked up on a few things I had earlier missed: 1. This is a warning against the masons and pretending to powers possessed beyond one's actual capabilities. 2. The insult ventured upon by Fortunado was that of the implication that he was better than Montresor. This is made clear by the fact that Montresor has already made the purchase of Amontillado. All that remained was for Fortunado to satisfy two kinds of greed: a) for consumption of material gain. b) for gaining the satisfaction of proving himself the better between himself and others. 3. By making the story about rivalry between rich folks, Poe satisfies the rich by granting them the satisfaction they might desire in proving themselves greater than the other, as well as satisfies the significantly less wealthy by assuring them that though they had very little, they were relatively safe from these kinds of devious schemes. Note that the servants gain the satisfaction of enjoying the carnival even though it is part of Montresor's plan. 4. Fortunado's weakness is twofold a) He will not return despite his cough, drunkenness, and the suspicion he ought to have when given warning after warning. b) He is eager to rub his sense of superiority in his friend's face. He knew that Montresor was not a Mason, but sought to generate embarassment of this lack in producing the sign. The masonry is the nature of the revenge that Fortunado must perceive when he calls his emprisonment "a little joke". 5. The mockery of Fortunado is an echo of Montresor's mockery. This means that the ways in which Fortunado mocked Montresor were of the sort that emprisoned him, perhaps socially, perhaps financially. One might easily imagine a circumstance wherein Fortunado falsely determined that something he has purchased was deemed less valuable than he had determined when purchasing it. This conclusion could be further interpreted as the anger Poe may have felt when his own eorks (purchased at the heavy price of focused genius) was deemed worthless by critics. A good reading indeed.

Despite the many splices, the quality isn't too bad. But I'm very confused why this is spliced onto a Mickey 60 year anniversary promo. Nitrate degregation at 1:36

Why does the mouse look like Mickey?
@jasonbeeanimation21 күн бұрын
Because of Mickey’s cultural impact, however the mouse there is Milton who existed waaay before Mickey back in 1921, however in the late 1920s he started to resemble Mickey more which led to Walt Disney filing an lawsuit against Van Beuren
