13:51 through and every joke but one used non-American English. Native English speaking Americans won’t have trouble understanding it, but this set could be remarketted as a lesson in British English to foreign learners. Some jokes won’t work at all in translation. (Eg. In the US we use the words resident or occupant and occupier only for an invader. So no pun. Same with bucket, Downs and specials. (sorry no quotes). I haven’t laughed yet- I’m an American who spent some time in Oxford, and suffered Shaw’s warnings about the necessity of treating British as a language that is not in-common.
