I watched this when I was about 8 years old Nothing else good was on. "Robbie Rist was the original Ted McGinley." Put him in any show and see what sticks. I think if they actually put him in a decent show, that it could have helped. Instead they used him as a last resort. Cool dude whose career was cursed by bad projects. One after another. The only good one was The Brady Bunch and those final 6 episodes weren't going to help a show where Robert Reed was pissed off, fired and Barry Williams was leaving as well. I think Eve Plumb wanted out too. Even if there was another season, half the cast wouldn't have been on it anymore.

dang bro this is the first space shuttle video i ever watched, i discovered this when i was just 4. Because of my brain, and when i saw that van go past the shuttle,i thought there was a highway under the shuttle, and if the rocket launched when we were under it, i would be doomed. Thanks to many more space shuttle videos, it seems that thought in my mind is no longer thinking that. Altough i still think of these memoires on occasion.

It's used all that fuel and is now less than half its weight at 12 mile lateral travel for an altitude of approx 15 miles. Its practically going 45 degrees, which is a waste of fuel, ie longer in the atmoshere meaning drag and time without getting higher. If the gravity is still 88percent at 250 miles and it has only gained 15miles altitude with the. Majority of the fuel spent. Then how the hell is it going to even reach 100miles altitude let alone escape the earth's gravitational pull. The angle of ascent is slowly declining meaning more drag for longer. As the atmoshere thins the only drive is conservation of momentum not atmoshere to aid the motors. Its all very obvious isn't it. Someone is having us on.
@MeerkatADV
@MeerkatADV Жыл бұрын
Guessing you're referring to the comment at about 3:45? You realize this is only 1:45 into an 8 minute burn? You also clearly don't understand how a gravity turn works. Any spacecraft has to turn and get horizontal velocity in order to enter orbit, because as you pointed out gravity is still 88% of surface gravity at 250 miles. Once the Shuttle (and all other spacecraft) are above most of the atmosphere, roughly 80,000ft they begin accelerating faster and faster. The thrust available remains the same, yet the weight of the craft and air resistance is a fraction of what it is at sea level. So they turn to their designated orbital path and accelerate until they reach a speed where they will not fall back to earth. It's actually a pretty simple concept.
@MartinA-kp8xg
@MartinA-kp8xg Жыл бұрын
@@MeerkatADV a simple concept on paper. Yet the speed needed to obtain orbit cannot be reached in atmoshere, and the thrust that incidentally does not stay the same cannot be created without atmoshere. If there is no atmosphere the thrust is only conservation of momentum. This is less thrust than in atmoshere. Conservation of momentum cannot create the speed for orbit. And if atmoshere is present the thrust may be better but the drag prevents the speed. Its ever increasing effort for ever decreasing returns. The ceiling g is reached and the fuel runs out. ,

@user-ql6gn6rz8s Newtons third law says different. And most of the acceleration is performed outside of the atmosphere.
