This ride from Arkansas to Kentucky in a custom Peterbilt is epic! The straight pipes sound incredible, and starting off with a bath adds a fun twist. Thanks for sharing this unique and immersive trucking experience!

When you let off the throttle, it allows the transmission to shift to the selected gear.

Clutching while starting cold , releases the load that the trans has on the engine. Makes it easier for the engine to spin and fire off

The cabin and the dashboard are a dream. To me, a European, the engine sounds like a heavy ship diesel, it's crazy. As a former sailor, I love ship diesel engines. Our trucks sound completely different. You explained the circuit very clearly. Thanks for your great video! 👍

For around 76K you can get a brand new tri axle trailer with lift axles. typically rear and center axle lift. Lodeking and Extreme Trailers are the way to go.

Really nice video. So, the "split gear" button is basically an "overdrive" button for each gear? And the shift progression on acceleration is 1, 1-split, 2, 2-split, 3, 3-split, 4, 4-split, range switch, 5, 5-split, and so on? And the only time an experienced trucker uses the clutch is when he's shifting in and out of neutral, or reverse?

Yah man, by far the best instruction I've seen. All my vehicles have been manual but I've never driven semi. I'm going to get my 1A soon and this clears up a lot of the "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot" part of shifting. Nice truck BTW.
