I really enjoyed this video. The people were well spoken and the interviewer asked great questions.

I'm happy this organization exists. Please entend your services to the Migrated Gullah Geechee who want to hold onto their Southern roots, because it enables generational- bloodline- cultures to continue on.

Center for Heirs property, please let the people in this video know that they can use compost toilets, wells and a basic two person septic systems. Also they can use incinerating septic systems, solar toilets, and solar showers. The advantage of living on/near marsh- Wetlands, Bogs and in a flood zone, is that you only need to dig 100 feet with an auger to get well water. The Town won't tell them this information, because they want to tax them off theur property (PLEASE NOTE, THESE UTILITIES MENTIONED MUST MEET THE STATE'S HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICE GUIDELINES.) I'M GULLAH GEECHEE AND I FIND LAND AND RESEARCH DEEDS FOR OUR PEOPLE.

This may rub some folks the wrong way. But, back in the day, we needed land to farm, feed ourselves and survive. However, farming is not what most young people are interested in. Land usage has to be updated. Talk with the young people about ideas for land usage other than farming. Perhaps they can build houses that are worth renting out or some other kind of businesses. Otherwise, If they sell the land, they can still invest in something that is worth having today. Holding on to land and not making use of it, will only lead to more land loss.

I loved watching this update after having found you guys a while back from your documentary about your mission and historically AA communities with KJ Kearney! I would love to get involved but I'm far from you guys in St. Louis Missouri. I share you guys' mission. As a 23 year old from the North (chicagoland area), there's hardly anyone around me who cares about this issue or who even knows enough to care about it. But I'm determined to change that! :) Please please please keep going!

The land can't be divided up among the family and individual family members sell to outsiders. They will create a plan, and force all the others to sell. It is happening under your noses. Property laws are used to appropriate the land.

If only the people that didn't want their share of the land would just forfeit it to those that do want to keep it in the family. My gosh

Sad part about this video is that they still haven’t learned from this. They are still talking about passing it to future generations as heir property. The only way to be safe from heir property is to go through probate and divide the land through individual deeds. The black community is always concerned about not selling so leaving it as heirs. As long as it’s heirs outside children great grands on so on you never heard of can come in and claim entitlement and lawfully thu are entitled. 19 brothers and sisters in Mississippi how many grandchildren and outside children do you think they have circulating around the US? Better get that land deeded out. Only thing you can do is pass it down you can’t worry if future generations will sell it or not it’s their decision at that point. If you teach them to have value in it maybe they won’t. He is property is the quickest way to lose you land in the US.

Heirs property should be ran according to a percentage ownership basis on acerage if someone owns 1 acre out of 100 acres thats 1 percent. 51 percent majority has the say.

I’m 33 have heard my grand parents talk about land in Mississippi that was passed on to my grandparents and when my grandmother passed three years ago my mother and aunts are the new heirs however my cousins and realize how valuable land ownership can be to our families future generations my mom and aunts have no intentions of moving to Mississippi to tend to the properties. We are trying to figure out what we can also do to make sure we keep this land in the family’s and protect it in the future.

You are doing the right thing, you must teach the children the value, because when the land is ignored by the children, they will sell it to the first entity who sets a price for it. By hook or crook it will be taken away. Only when its gone, will the uninformed seller realize that they should have held on for their children or concerned relative or friend. Someone who will treasure the land as a keepsake.

The reason why those who were born there , but moved away was because , their parents accepted the White Man,,'s religion and refuse to give that up, under any circumstances, including, the end result of the children moving away! Sad, but true! The parents were destroyed by holding on to that evil fake religion! Their minds are damaged, beyond repair! So why would the children stay! But now today, it's different! Whether the parents lose the property or not, the indigenous people who are not Black or African American, will get all the land back! All of the earth realm belong to the Earth Born, the Native Indians, us! We were here, before here was here and that will forever be true! We are The Creators babies! God's essences of herself! Feminine energy! God The Amighty!

Most Black have already chased off their land a hundred years ago. They use their Laws & Guns to take our land. If, we want to protect our land we have left we have to help those who still pand and invest in more land. These people have stolen so much of our land. They do not want us to have a thing not anything. They pollute our land to run our people off.
