I'm 70 years young. Been skiing 65. Watching Candide gets me out of bed before sunrise to get after it the best I can. He is a truly remarkable skier. I love the younger generations and where they have taken skiing. Wow !

This is the guy who broke his back???... I don't think I've ever seen such a display of raw strength of torso and legs as his recovery from being nearly flat on his back after a big jump at 6:18. I'd like to know just how high he sets the tension on his bindings??!! There are a lot of great skiers out there. But there is something unique about Candide Thovex. Speed, strength, reflexes, daring, and...fun! Speaking of reflexes, how about pulling out of what would have been a crash with an impromptu front flip, then deftly avoiding a rock at full speed at 5:15?? Like one freestyle competitor observed, Candide handles the mountain in a whole new way. Oh yes, and not only outrunning avalanches, but cutting across one at 5:43?? God has given this man an extraordinary ability. Really, it's a testimony to the Creator!

art is art... javais diné chez le decouvreur d e la technique de ski moderne, triple champion olympique a 16 ans dans les années 60, il mavait donné une balle de golf "demain tu iras dans le pré, avec une canne pour marcher, apprendre a jouer..." 2 ans apres je faisais une compet', gagnée, nouvel espoir junior du club... puis n'ai plus rejoué... vois piano no mori ya des types ainsi.... respect.
