Hey Ellie! Fellow teacher from Toronto here. When I didn't see you posting, I wondered if you had a contract. I was thinking about getting the Academic Planner from Sterling Ink this school year, and your flip-through was so helpful-it made my decision much easier! I've been using Leuchtturm for years as my teacher planner, but I'm getting tired of setting up a calendar every month. It's great to see you back!

I was sooooo excited to see your video! I will be very curious to see how you use this book. I am currently getting ready to apply for student teaching and was accepted into a teacher apprenticeship program for SpEd and really was very tempted by the Academic Planner (I love the B6 size) but ultimately went with a Stalogy B6 and am doing the bullet journal system which is working great! Please keep posting videos, I will be curious to see how this works for you! I am keeping my fingers crossed for the kindergarten position.

So happy to see you shared a new video - thanks so much for putting it together for us! 🥰 I love your daily logs and as usual, your planner set up looks so lovely but I can see how it's very functional too. I hope it works well for you! ☺ This year I'm using the W222 A5 All-In-One with Unstacked weekends. Like you said you have seen people doing, I am dividing up the weekly spreads to create a weekly overview/dashboard - this is the missing piece of the planning puzzle I needed!

I know this is an older video, but I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed it and your channel. I come here often and rewatch your videos. Your style of planning, and your calm and peaceful demeanor and energy, are something I really enjoy! I also relate to a lot of the things you say (especially in this video in regard to mental health and how your planner both helps and reflects it). Most importantly, I saw that some time ago you accepted a new teaching position - I hope it is everything you hoped it would be!

The A6- blank (no lines or grid) is 100gsm which works well for my fountain pens. I even use it for small watercolor sketches.

I use sticky notes of all sizes in both work and personal planners. I love them as sometimes I need to write down more than the space allows.

I know this video is a year old, but I'm so glad that I found it. I just got a Hobonichi Weeks and I HATE the paper. I know that might possibly be one of the most unpopular opinion around these parts, but it's just too thin for my tastes. I really love and am used to using the paper in Moleskine and Leuchtturm notebooks. I ended up getting the sweet cover with the cat holding a sparkler above the harbor, and the artwork is just so cute that I figured I needed to repurpose the book for something else other than its intended purpose (a hobby journal), so I'm going to use it to log my daily reading. I think I'll be okay as long as all I'm doing is making lists! I have another insert I use in my traveler's notebook for writing about books I've finished. Thank you for this video! (If you're wondering, decided to use a Moleskine Cahier for the hobby journal.)

It's amazing how similar you have described me as a reader, I am glad I'm not the only one with a similar story. I have snipits of stories in my mind that I want to go back and reread and I can't find which book it is. I recently read an entire 13 book series over again because I love it but I didn't remember some of the things in the later books! Thank you for breaking down your story I am going to try this. I usually use my weeks as a health trackers but I still have a lot of empty space on the page where I can incorporate this idea for a similar function. So thank you for sharing it! May help me as well!

Thanks for the inspiration! I was going to set up a reading journal but I have an extra Nolte 2024 planner that I can now set up as my reading journal. I would probably have gotten sidetracked with setting up monthly spreads, so hopefully this will work!

Hi Ellie! I hope you are doing well (or okay at the least!) ~ Curious to know what you’ll be using for 2024! 👀 If you have the capacity to share I’d love to know. No pressure to post at all and I hope your new teaching contract is going well. I wanted to express my interest in your planner / notebooks. I revisit your videos often because they feel like sitting down with a friend catching up. It helps me during my flares to have something calm and soothing (and predictable now that I’ve watched so many times 😅). Thank you for sharing!

This is so kind of you, thank you. 🥹🥰 I hope to be able to film again when my contract is finished (sometime in February) - I miss engaging here. For 2024 I’ve ordered two planners: the B6 Papertess again, plus Nicole Josephine’s Forest Planner, which is an undated B6. I’m honestly not sure if I will use them both or what the setups may be, but those are my current purchases! I’m considering adding an A6 notebook for a journal, but I haven’t made any decisions yet. What are your planner thoughts for 2024?

@@elliescorner2019 Hi Ellie! That combination sounds great. Having structure and having freedom is a nice way of having the best of both worlds in my opinion. Having variation like that is what helps me avoid planner hopping haha. Thanks for asking~ :) I just figured out today that I’m going to get a monthly insert (haven’t decided which size) from Traveler’s Company to keep track of my work things. I have a few other ideas but nothing is set yet. I am still learning what I need to feel organized and what I do to just make myself feel busy/like I have my life together. LOL! I am thinking about a Hobonichi plain notebook or more TN inserts..but I am determined to get a better idea of what I’d use them for before purchasing anything! 🙂 A few journals that I will continue with in the new year are: • A5-ish dot grid notebook - K-POP journal • Composition book - stream of consciousness / vent • TN Passport 2023 Weekly pt. 1 - book log • TN Passport 2023 Weekly pt. 2 - movies, shows + anime log If I actually get around to making some decisions (and get over my fear of posting), I may try filming a Techo Kaigi this year. 🙂
