Also Nancy came off far more intelligent than the person that played her in Sid and Nancy. I feel badly for them they all seem like relatively nice kids. Poor Sid. He grew up with a single mum who was a registered heroin addict who introduced him to the drug as a teenager. Later Sid got involved with Nancy Spungden, a groupie /heroin addict who got him addicted to smack. Despite his punk image, he was a shy young man. His close friend and ex Sex Pistols band mate, John Lydon (Johnny Rotten), said that there was a vulnerability about Sid and referred to.him as being a "gentle soul". Sid died way too young.

People victimize Sid and its disgusting, the dude was abusive and hit Nancy regularly until he finally got so enraged from a fight he stabbed her to death.. Nancy was just so crazy and full of heroin she couldn't help herself in the end. They are both two crazy kids of the night who were meant for eachother.

Considering the drug addiction reputation they both have now they both seem pretty sober.

Stiv Bators was lost too soon, a real talent. The Dead Boys and Lords of the New Church were great bands.

Nancy was the classic "groupie" and was she was genuine.

Hard to believe it's almost 50 years since their deaths.
