I lived in Austin as a kid from the 3rd grade through the 7th grade. In 1960 our family moved to Dallas. Our home backed up to Camp Mabry so whenever Texas won a game, we could go out on the patio and have a clear view of the Tower shining orange. Many of my neighbors and most of my neighborhood friends had fathers who were professors at UT, so, of course, I grew to love the University of Texas. Back then, school kids could get Knot Hole tickets, to sit in the end zone during the games for $1 and my best friend, whose dad was a professor at UT, used to go to all the home games together, with her dad dropping us off at the games. From probably the 5th grade through the 7th grade, when I moved. Really wonderful times. I loved all the games, but have to admit, my favorites were always the UT/Texas A&M games, the height of rivalry in the State of Texas, and with the two best college bands.

Very suspicious and bogus story behind this track. Just another cover up.

Thanks for capturing this. I went to visit this awesome monument, but found it is now private property with no trespassing signs posted.

Hmm, that is strange. I just found this on google earth and I want to visit it. I am sorry to hear we can’t access it. It sure seems like an odd thing to build. Seems like a cover up of something underneath. Do you know anything more about it? What was the monument built for?

Terrific band! They could make you a fan of the University with their performing excellence. Love to have them for the annual summer parade in my city (Calgary, Alberta).

I use the "Loiter" more quite a bit when I am shooting video. And I use GPS to bring it back to me quickly. Generally, I fly in Altitude Hold when I am just playing around. She responds much better.

Nice video, I'm about to get an IRIS, was wondering if you fly in GPS mode where it makes the copter steady?, not get out of hand.

Unfortunately for me, 3DR sent an IRIS+ upgrade kit with a bad ESC, the result was that one of the motors would not spin after installation and calibration.

Where exactly is that plaque located?? Thanks.
@EricHowell9 жыл бұрын
The plaque is near the bottom of the Snow Bowl. There is a trail in the Spring that goes from the upper parking lot to the Humphrey's Peak Summit trail... The plaque is before you cross on of the ski slopes from the parking lot... If I can find exact coordinates, I will share...

This is nothing more but pure farmland, but yet in 20 years or so this area will be the next Glendale or Gilbert cus I heard that a new freeway is being built in here
@TruckerTRex9 жыл бұрын
***** It's actually cool, because there is a new freeway there now. It is almost entirely complete now! They are currently working on the U.S 60/ Loop 303 interchange, because before they started roadwork, the freeway would end at the U.S 60 so people could exit off and stuff (it's weird to explain because it really was weird) , it was very inconvenient, so they started making an interchange so the 303 doesn't have to stop at stop light there. They are expanding the lanes from U.S 60 and past that to 3 lanes on each side, making it a real freeway. It's really cool. Surprise, Arizona is almost a Glendale with a population of over 110,000!

This was a great show! Vid doesn't do the audio justice but they were great and it was a party!! to the below reviewer, if freerider is the band that went on prior to Shucking Bubba they were supposed to be alternating and go back out after but refused after seeing the crowd reaction and this band did the entire show for both Texas and OSU fans so you are either in the band or one of the very few who preferred them, hope to see SBubba again soon!!
