Please try hold on to Jack C because he and Cirkin are fabulous together and were too much for SW to deal with. Chris Rigg and Roberts together showed glimpses of telepathy .. I had heard about how well we pressed in pre season and of RLB wanting it all at a faster pace. But this was pressing with intent to rob and out play Sheff W, and when the ball was lost, they hunted to get it back like superior teams do. Is this the type of gutsy football that Sunderland fans go mad for. Yes it was, as tackles were were given roars of approval. Well Sheff W did show intent and confidence for 10 mins but on 11 mins Jack Clarke was about to pull the trigger was hauled down. Then Pat R wanded the free kick to powerhouse Dennis to head briliantly again, So we have DC and LO defenders who can score. Chris Riggs pass to JC was sublime since he outBannoned Barry B with the pass of the match. I love how RLB is just analysing and only concentrating on any little areas for improvement. Another test next week keep this up and it will be 45K every home game

I wonder after last season's collapse that teams will see us still as a wounded animal, leading to more fancying their chances, which may work in our favour. It feels like an energy has been brought back to the team, where it seems they are being coached to a system. However, it's upto the players to have the bottle to have that inner drive within themselves to fight and claw for wins which they repeatedly showed was missing in their standards
