Thanks LSU Ag Center for helping us to control this invasive species. We have had great success in diminishing this plant on our leased properties by following the recommended dispersing techniques. In less than 2 months, our giant salvinia problem was practically eradicated. Absolutely amazing! I also recommend that when you get a healthy weevil population going that you share your weevils with your neighbors who may be experiencing the same infestation.

So my multi ton died 😢I planted it in cow manure in the sun with a trellis. It grew a 12in vine with a few tiny leaves and then the vine shriveled up. Anyone know why this would happen?

They are causing the pilings holding up my house to sink they are also making my yard a mud pit with grass you can't mow it's a mosquito paradise so in the right yard it can cause major damage and cost lots of money. 8 holes go to one big borrow under ground w/ up to 25 gallons of water. Not good
