I know this video is about a year old and so many people have discussed their own personal experiences with the admins but I would like to share at least one tidbit of information while I am here out of concern for the minors in their community.. The isle developers, admins, owner, and moderators do not follow their own rules or even discord TOS rules nor do they have anything that would actually protect young children who play their game or are in their discord simply through chance. I've had numerous encounters with creeps who prey on little kids and even some minors themselves who go out of their way to show even younger children illicit content. through my own personal experience I had actually needed to go to reddit in order to explain what had been going on in my own experiences and I was met with the administrative team telling me that they "can't do anything about outside affairs" which is totally understandable *however*, they do have the ability to protect their own server from these kinds of people and by "these kinds of people" I am explicitly talking about people who use their discord/game to prey on weaker players or children/possibly have CP on their computer/or are a danger in general to the rest of their discord My problem resides in the fact that if you go to an admin via dm's with a genuine problem that could affect the people in their discord (mine being that the person was sending images of their wrists being slit and preying on an 11 year old at the time who was also on discord and in their server along with bringing in people who had been rumored to have CP on their computer around this 11yr old) they will do nothing about it, I had been shunned for trying to protect the community from people who are clearly not okay whatsoever, people who clearly do not have morals and would hurt or prey on weaker/younger people in the community. Eventually I ended up getting them to finally ban one of the people. You'd think this would have a happy ending but it in fact does not. After the person eventually got banned, they created an alt account to resume doing these things in the discord (This is against their rules, number 13 to be exact for those who are probably going to be nitpicky or attempt to protect the offenses these people committed) and things only got worse from there and eventually I was blocked by every single admin, senior admin, moderator, everything. I was essentially being vilified by the admins because they didn't want to protect their own server. Earlier in this reading I mentioned I had gone to reddit about these issues and needless to say the community is just as bad, with many people going out of their way to essentially call me a liar or tell me I was seeking attention or that these things were *my* fault despite me even so much as giving proof of what had happened. It got so bad that I personally attempted to call the police on these people (Not the redditors, but the actual criminals who were preying on minors and possibly had CP on their pc) but I sadly had felt so much defeat that I even after talking to an actual police officer, gave up afterwards because it had felt so crushing and made me feel so powerless to actually stop the people doing this. I have zero respect for the moderators I had to put up with and zero respect for Dondi and the only reason I see anyone puts up with him is because he "knows what he is doing when it comes to the game" and I put that in quotes because he really doesn't appear to know anything. He is so far up in the discord that it's gotten to his head, and he refuses to actually protect his own discord from bad people who intend to hurt his player base. I understand where he comes from on the "rage bait KZfaq titles and everyone is never happy regardless" standpoint but he is doing it to himself when he treats his player base as if they are nothing but NPC's. He is so far from being "like the rest of us" because he puts himself in this separate category that makes him blind to the underlying problems that occur even outside his game and in his own community. I think if anything due to the size of his discord being 120,000+ he needs more moderators and admins because the things that are occurring behind closed doors is honestly so gut wrenchingly disgusting. you could honestly probably make an entire career off of just finding pedophiles or even minors (14-17) who prey on little 10-12yr olds in their discord server. It's gross and thinking that they allow people like this in their server makes me honestly hate myself for playing their game. (Also yes I have actually run into these people on their game, they are thriving just as much as they were before. I can't do anything about it sadly) if you are a minor on this game, do *not* trust any of the player base no matter how friendly they might seem. You never know who these people actually could be and you would be surprised at how easy it is for adults to con a child even if that child has been taught the "stranger danger" rules. Even in real life these problems occur and there have been cases of kids being kidnapped/manipulated/groomed/or SA'd because kids suck at being able to determine what is and isn't safe especially when the danger is their own species. Children are taught that adults know what they are doing at all times and to rely/be respectful to their "elders" (elders being just normal adults in general, not necessarily old people). Discord is one of the BIGGEST platforms to have child predatory behavior happen on and I say this from my own personal experiences with discord. Needless to say, this isn't just The Isle that has these problems. Other games like ROBLOX or Minecraft also have these issues, the only difference is that unlike The Isle, the player base on ROBLOX and Minecraft actively try to help minors with people like Ruben sim (A ROBLOX KZfaqr) having his own discord that has a report system to remove items from the catalogs and also remove player accounts that are illicit and aimed towards kids. ROBLOX even went as far as to try and sue Ruben sim for protecting the younger members of their community and ended up LOSING against Ruben sim. My point is that The Isle community and The isle administrative team do absolutely NOTHING. Their job is a lot more than just "look at the chat and if someone says a slur or insults me, ban them" they are there to actively protect the community from people who seek to cause harm to the player base. Not to mention, they have all these random admin roles and they all only do one thing and that is what I stated earlier with the "look at the chat ban people who say slurs or upset me" There is no real distinction between what any of them do. They also never even bother to look at their appeals, people who were wrongly banned or muted end up sitting there for YEARS without so much as a second chance or even just 3 strike rules. I myself had my cat die and ended up getting frustrated with an admin on there which resulted in me getting permanently muted because I told them "You suck at your job" in dm's and then when I appealed because I had clearly not been thinking straight, I was essentially told that I "needed to apologize" which I can't remember if I did or didn't because this was YEARS ago. They dragged out an entire process against me and I never even had my appeal looked at for more than 5 seconds and was told "Nope you aren't getting one" when my appeal was never even looked at. I had my cat die that day and got zero sympathy or understanding as to why I might have been upset and the fact that they take being told "You suck at your job" to heart so badly also honestly shows how little patience they have. It's frustrating how high up on a pedestal they are compared to the normal player base. *Obviously this isn't the main reason why I posted this comment and if you made it this far then i'm so sorry you had to read through all this*

Hearing Dondi speak almost as if this is something we all wanted and if not trying to make the current system sound worse just makes me just think like do they really care at this point? Because right now it almost seems like they are making HUGE changes that they say will be the best thing ever and then get mad when they're told it's not good, and blind spots are plenty right now, so this change is stupid in every way imaginable.

Many have criticized PoT's Rex for looking lame and sterile, but if I had to wager, this may have been a purposeful decision so it was a less appealing player choice. It getting nerfed into the ground also helps with this. These could encourage people to play the bigger, scarier herbivores or try out the other carnivores. And yet, despite this and despite the existence of the gorgeous, far more OP Primordial Tyrants Rex, I still always see buckets of Alderon Rex instead. Rex popularity overrides all I guess

I agree with everything you said on this vid,and in my opinion rex became so popular was because of its first discovery and its name "Tyrant Lizard King" and its first appearance in Jurassic park and has been iconic for nearly 30 years now and don't get me wrong i do love the tyrannosaurus Rex for being a cool megatheropod because its just an animal that survived millions of years ago but you have to remember it wasn't invincible as most people say it will get killed if its not careful enough when hunting its prey or when fighting its own kind but some of them monsterfied to be indestructible that will give rex fans more reason to praise their lizard a lot more and maybe that's the reason why it is being overexposure and being glazed on to every media to the point it gets boring pretty fast when every single time it shows up in those medias is a sort of trend of marketing and is just used for nostalgia purposes,you have to remember that dinosaurs are fascinating was because of there diversity and uniqueness when compared to each other and their specific role in the food chain,if this trend keeps up to the point of were people will find it frustrating and boring because of its overrated use in the different medias and that's the reason why the giganotosaurus is my first favorite and the rex being third place in my favorite list of megatheropods,i just hope future games or documentaries will give some of the most underrated dinosaurs a chance in the spotlight like acrocanthosaurus, carcharodontosaurus,and Even hadrosaurs like shantungosaurus,edmontosaurus and Even other animals that lived with the dinosaurs the world of dinosaurs is changing since there are new species being discovered lets give them the attention they deserve.

I hated the weapon designs in world also but not only that. Most of the armors were boring too. I also don't see why Armor's would have the same design from completely different regions. The world of monster hunter is massive and there are villages all over that world and somehow every smithy has the same designs somehow. I want to see different armor styles for returning monsters, but would also like skins for old styles of the armors. A lack of cool armors leads to people not wanting to hunt certain monsters and the same with weapons.

Esentially rex has become almost like a legend between all the dinosaurs,because its just "Godlike" compared to the rest,which makes it completely amazing!!! But theres more stuff around nowadays that i agree,could take some spotlight and overtime well be able to see more and more stuff!!!

It can be frustrating to see people refer to lesser known species as 'budget (similar more popular dinosaur),' as if the popular one is a brand name and they have to settle for a low budget alternative. In this case Albertosaurus, Daspletosaurus and Tarbosaurus come to mind as creatures I've seen people refer to as 'We have rex at home.'

There's a very fun trend i see amongst dinosaur fans as they grow up that reminds me of that IQ bell curve meme. It goes something like Being a kid: "T. rex was the biggest and most powerful meat eating dinosaur of all time" Being a teen: "Nooooo spinosaurus/giganotosaurus/catcharodontosaurus was bigger and would win in a fight!"
