It's a wonderful track. There are some similarities with a track by the Moody Blues called, "The Actor". Ardent upfront vocals, great harmonies, rich instrumentation, haunting background tones, and gentle but prominent and insistent beat.

I think this was a highlight, esp. at the outro with something that reminded me of 'Heart Of The Sunrise' like 'Bill unleashed' again. The interesting polyrhythmic phrases on the other track 'Eat Sleep Sex Dream' (around 1 min 40 sec) is a whole other can-of-worms. ;) compliment of course

I remember being introduced to the ‘80’s KC by a Prog Rock loving friend. It’s amazing because (to paraphrase) the more I heard it the more I liked it. The group of 4 people playing their instruments with such perfection was an absolute joy. One of my favorite concerts was on the Pier in NYC in 1984 where they played “3 fa Perfect Pair”. The 3 albums put out in the early 80’s were so inventive. They still stand up today as absolutely amazing works by 4 masters of their instruments. I went on to see the 6 man KC plus either saw or downloaded the ProJeKct(s). These men are just inexplicable. I am now looking forward to seeing BEAT. I can’t believe I’ve listened to Robert and. Company for so many wonderful years. Also as so many others have written, Belew is just a man with a talent from another galaxy….. that’s why he was able to play with Robert so well.

I always enjoy. Bill bruford but this can't be 1987! It's got to be more like 1967 isn't it?

I was fortunate enough to see this Double Trio iteration of King Crimson live. Whatever superlative descriptor you like, it applied to the tour 10 fold.

Bruford talking about you "never knew what you're going to get with each album"...Despite being a big fan and despite being a musician and intimately knowledgeable about their discography...I never considered how absolutely different every album is! Comparing In the Wake of Poseidon Vs Lizard or Starless and Bible black vs Red ...It's truly amazing pondering their diversity of sound. Saw them a few times; Proud to say I did...

Sorry but... Adrian WAS and IS King Crimson. 28 years being the front man, making totally innovative music with Tony. Almost 30 years of KC's best days. Nowadays KC is simply a cover band led by Robert (how obvious, it's important too).

Fripp could have written this same essay in the context of guitar. Adrian, Trey and Tony all contributed to this song - I think Fripp slept until some gentle volume swells to close the song.

Bill why don't you at least travel around and do drum clinics again? It's not actually playing in shows anymore. Many of still can't comprehend why you have distanced yourself to an instrument you loved. You can still be retired from performing yet still occasionally play in the public right ?

Belew and Tony on tour, Bruford posting double trio at 4 am, Fripp doing silly video with his domina... I mean wife. It doesn't get much better than this for the Crimheads

That was definitely a decent snare drum roll there at the end, for sure, and your right Bill, performance psychology is very important, you're a true musician Bill always was there for the song to prevail.
