I missed the rainbow falls cutoff on the way down and ended up descending bullhead, it was a happy mistake. Bullhead was sweet. I bet the drive down roaring fork was scary.

Your Ch was suggested to me and it's been so delightful. I am disabled (since 2015) and unable to do the hiking that I use to. I am tagging along with you and it's so wonderful and your talks and observations are pleasant and informative. Thank you and Cheers!

I am 75 years old, and was a better than average hiker in my youth. (AT for three days in Smokies, Philmont (NM), but my hiking days are over, due to horrible knees. I am a vintage fan of Grandma Gatewood, and after re-reading her account of walking the AT as the first woman, I am ODing on KZfaq accounts of thru-hikes. You have me crying. Thank you for the pleasant, comforting music instead of blasting rock. Shoot, maybe I should move near the trail and be a trail angel! I can't get enough of this.

Boulevard is my favorite and I've always wanted to do it as an out and back (I've always come down Alum after Boulevard) but have been too chicken 😂😂 I was hoping for an end of hike clip to see how it was 😅😂

@HikingwithBraids yeah the thought of that much UPhill after already doing 12+ miles for the day makes me cringe 🤣🤣 but maybe I'll do it as a one and done experience.... but then again, it may cause me to not love it as much anymore 🤣🤣

Glad to see a new video. Started hiking about four years ago and without so many words, your videos have been an inspiration. If I’m not mistaken I believe I missed you by one day at LeConte last year. Only have a few days a couple times a year and I’ll be back in the Smokies in about a week.

WOWWW , what a surprise!! 18 mile LeConte hike ! Those white flying bugs are Afids on my back porch. I think that's the same ones there. This is, I think , the 4th Mt. Le Conte trip I've enjoyed with you guys. Very impressed!!! ❤

I was wondering, what week in October did you travel to Salem? I’m thinking of going next year but I want to avoid the major crowds but still want to experience the Halloween atmosphere. Is the whole month of October dedicated to all things Halloween?

I liked seeing your video in particulae because I recently finished reading the book Killing the Witches by Bill O'Reilly. It includes the bahaviors primarly of a group of girls who led the witch trials in Salem and also gives possible reasons for their behavior. It includes so much more incldung religion in early America and gives so much more detailed history of how the country evolved from rule by England. He ends it up though saying despite it all the pressnce of evil exists by going in to more detail of the Exorcist event recently learned to the public that became the basis for the moive that actually occurred in St. Louis in the late 1940s. I have also read the actual diary from one of the priests involved with that exorcism that actually occurred over 2-3 months and found it far scarier than the movie. I remember picking it up at a nearby library in St. Louis for selected Halloween reading one year. It was actually a boy of Lutheran faith who lived not far from thom Washington DC and Baltimore. Thanks sharing for your expersince on KZfaq. I think you will also enjoy the book.

Enjoyed your video. I will be 70 years old in two months and want to try day hiking. I have never really hiked before, but I would have to go solo because my husband and friends do not share my interest I hiking and camping. I hope to learn much from watching your other videos. Thanks!

My brother and I hiked that trail in 1980 but we came up from the Walnut Bottom side. Camped near the fire tower through a huge thunderstorm. The water from that pipe was the best water I've ever had

You should never hike/camp solo in bear country unless you have a high-powered gun. It’s not a matter of if but when that you will have a life-and-death experience. This girl is young and uneducated.

Haha thanks for calling me young! I’m 50 years old and hiked the entirety of the Appalachian Trail SOLO in 2020. The information in this video is directly from the NPS and I’ve personally had over 30 bear encounters in the wild.
