I would love to know the mod list, what turbos and what size piping?

I live in Canada and don't have access to pump E, I can only ship it by the barrel. I'm thinking about getting a pair of these but 10k+ for the turbos and install is super high. I'm curious though, has anyone ran these cars with upgraded turbos and methanol? I've heard BoostInMotion talk about how it's corrosive, but others seem to think it's a great alternative to E85, especially with the right failsafe. I have a 2019 Q60 redsport, and I'm curious about what my first mods should be power wise. Do you have any suggestions? Different combinations result in different power numbers. In your experience, what combination is most effective and efficient while being safe for daily use. I'm hoping for around 500-550whp by the end of my build. Also, I'm probably going to run 93 most of the time but might get a separate tune for E30 for the spring and summer months. I'll most likely going with racebox if they can do remote tuning. My apologies for the paragraph.

Nice! I have a 1990 born in April. It's Triple Black but has an auto-tragic ;-(. It has exactly 59,714 miles on it right now. I just did the 120K service. Waiting on an injector since #6 went bad. I'm also waiting on a new radiator, and a gTech fan. Gonna upgrade the oil cooler next then maybe the intercoolers. I really want to Manual swap it for the 98+ Spec, and throw a dual disc on it but I'm having one hell of a time finding a TT manual clutch that isn't an arm, and a leg in cost...

@specialtyz
@specialtyz 10 күн бұрын
We recommend it for those using the 520\525 pumps so that it can be provided with better ew wiring. It is also used on assemblies where the factory bulk head wiring is damaged and\or has bad connections.

What figures can the stock trans handle without blowing up
@specialtyz
@specialtyz 21 күн бұрын
A stock trans is good for roughly 700-750 torque but a crazy driver can break it with very aggressive driving with less. Ask me how I know :) In all seriousness we have many builds out there with zero issues on upgraded turbos making 850+ whp and under 650 torque.

I get so confused over BOVs. I thought they helped prolong turbo life by reducing backpressure when coming off throttle?
@specialtyz
@specialtyz 23 күн бұрын
There are BOVs (blow off valves) and recirculation valves. From the factory turbocharged vehicles come with recirculation valves, they do the same thing as the BOV but instead of the air being dumped out, the air from the recirculation valve goes back into the intake\inlet side of the piping.

Even with the notorious belt slip/ac alignment with these cars you’d still recommend getting a interchiller given you have to spin it nonstop to get that 40 degree CAT, Interesting. Now do you think a A2A car with a 5lb CO2 snake system could get the same effect as an interchiller ??
@specialtyz
@specialtyz Ай бұрын
For those looking for the best performance I would recommend it. The serpentine belt issue is definitely of concern but the AC itself being ON won't matter. A2A is great but it still won't get as cold as the interchiller on its own. Not familiar with the C02 system but I imagine it sprays on the face of the core to cool it down?

How do turbos affect the longevity of the engine? I’ve heard higher pressures reduce the engine life in the long run..
@specialtyz
@specialtyz Ай бұрын
The more power you make the more potential for failure but we have many clients with no issues for the last 3 years. One benefit of the larger turbos like the Z1 is that you will make more power on the same boost level as stock and it will be more efficient. Backpressure will be lower and this alone can actually help reduce engine stress.
