I know this video is from 9 years ago, but I'd just like to say thank you, because I'm turning about 4 yards of a 1/4" tube for dress straps and this is SO HELPFUL!!! ❤❤❤

Could you make a video showing how to do this when the fabric isn't the same on each side? it was hard for me to follow knowing which side to do

Great. Thanks for posting this. I've made a number of zipper bags, but always with linings. I decided to try an unlined one with a shortened zipper and it turned out fine. Then I tried making one that used the full length of the zipper and that didn't turn out so well. The ends of the zipper are ugly. I hadn't seen your approach shown anywhere before and I like it. I'm going to try it right away, but I already know it will work fine. Again, thanks for posting.

Thank you!!! I hate turning fabric tubes, and this is so much easier than the way I was taught to do it.

Using a crochet or knitting yarn needle (made for sewing in the ends of yarn) would work better since it has a dull end. Great tutorial!

Thanks for the tutorial. About how far from the zipper teeth to you stitch?

Easier still....attach a double thread longer than your tie, knotted onto one end of the 'tube', sew that end shut, sew along the long edge, making certain you don't catch the thread in that stitching. When done, pull the thread and the end of the tie, through itself! No needles, no slipping anything through after stitching! Cut the thread: done! :)

Thank you. All my turners were too big. I was ready to give up and just make bigger tubes. This was so helpful to me as I am making some Barbie doll clothes and I had few tiny tubes to turn.

I think, keeping the needle tip out side and put the other side to inside would be more easier to keep going inside.

It is faster to sew your seam then run a piece of ribbon on a needle through the tube sew one end shut then pull on the ribbon the tube turns right side out. Ta Da

Hello, I was wondering what type of machine you were using. It seems pretty amazing. I'm still trying to figure out how to get my stitches perfect depending on the fabric and the tension.

Thank you for all the info and speedy reply too! I am researching beginner machines, theres so much info to take in. So far im thinking of a Janome or Kenmore and sewing stretchy knits is a must. Im hoping to find a quiet model. Oh are quilting machines ok for regular sewing? Im not really sure if quiting machines are better for stretchy jersey knits and can also handle heavy fabric like corduroy.

Are there other kinds of stiches for 4 way stretch fabric? And is there a special stich to begin/end with so the sewing doesnt unravel? Thank you for the great video, its helpful.
