Geese: "Just...keep...paddling............................" But no, for real, this was amazing! I just turned 42 today and man, do I get why every adult generation despises the child generation. I used to hate this stuff! Well...I also gave my life to The Lord a few years ago and He's been doing a lot of pruning... Anyway, great dance! I'd love to take lessons...

Девочка молодец, но сам вот этот танец превращает красивую женственную девочку в какую-то каляку-маляку. Движения в Чарльстоне не гармоничные и несуразные.

My little granny did this often in her kitchen. I was never coordinated enough. I still wish I could. My granny could do anything. Even play basketball in her 70’s with her grandkids.

Wonderful dancing as always. Band hurts the rhythm with a non-Jazz Age style. They're doing modern cheap dixieland (Sam Levine is about as crude and fake as it gets), where all the upbeats get lost in a schlocky soup. It's spectacular work by Maria, but held back noticeably by the elevator music band.

She's so great! She's not just proficient and authentic, but sincerely immersed in the dance. There are dozens of botched period dance videos out there that are ruined by the dancers persistently putting a camp, winking face on their own endeavors. If you're winking at what you're doing, you shouldn't be doing it. Maria gets that. So genuine!

This is my favorite of hers. Helps a lot that in this video, the band plays authentic Charleston style. A few of her vids have a campy "big band"-or-even-later take on the Charleston, played as if with an ironic little nod to a "bygone era." This one is just right, and Maria is outstanding in every way!

She is superb! She would come off even better, take it to a new level, with more authentic '20s-'30s instrumental backing. The band is a serious cut below in a few of her vids. Here, we have "Bei mir bist Du schön," which is a stomp. Should be done more uptempo, with a hard-driving rhythm. She'd fall into that effortlessly! But this band is pure campy, synthetic Nelson Riddle-ly 1950s "dixieland." She's completely authentic and into the beat, so it detracts to have backing bands that play with a kind of persistently annoying "Aren't we cute?" wink of the eye. Bravo as always to Maria!

I think she's terrific! Total mastery of wing artistry while maintaining the fore and back move. Just about everything is here. Some little buck steps, a very cute swinging kick, and, wow, even a perfect ritard thrown in near the middle. Absolutely wonderful!
