I always heard Faust forward is better than skipping ahead. But maybe it’s bad either way. 🤷♀️ The clock is cute! You did a great job.
@thedragonscave496313 сағат бұрын
Thank you! I’ve been told that using the speed up setting is better than skipping forward, but I don’t think either is great since KZfaq counts watched hours and it affects the algorithm apparently. ❤️

I think the color is perfect! I like to use the cups from liquid laundry detergent to pour, the tiny spout is nice for directing the flow. 😊

Very pretty! I have learned using any of the eco resins that while acrylic paint does well in coloring them it also makes them set up quicker. Hope that helps you.

Great tip, thanks! I’m pretty new to eco resin so that really helps ❤️

Very pretty Karen, love how the natural color one looks with the gold paint in the word Love. Maybe you could take some guilding glue and add gold foil to it if you really want it on there. That blue is pretty too.
@thedragonscave49633 күн бұрын
The white/cream one is my favourite, I quite like it as it is but next time I use foil I’ll try putting it on the mould rather than in the eco resin! ❤️❤️
@dandaresin4 күн бұрын
With eco, try and water down your acrylic paint. Add a tad of water to it and then pour into your eco, and it will marble, and it also won't blob. With foil if I put it in eco I have to sand the eco parts to see the foil or I put the foil down onto my mould 1st and the pour down my eco and it works both ways. Love white with the gold letters it makes it stand out. thank you for sharing, Karen ❤❤

you are so brave using eco stuff in such an intricate mould, turned out fab. maybe a gem stone in the little blue heart hole to hide it could work?

Me too! I’m so slow, and it’s so hot which I’m sure is affecting the curing time. I love how quickly it’s ready to demould though 😆❤️

Gorgeous! And i love the song at the start, had me cracking up, new subscriber here. I love your sticker backing trick! Tip when mixing mica powder, spray alchol into your mixing bowl as you go to make it more liquid than dry powder

Thanks for subbing! It’s funny because when I’m not filming I almost always mix the powder with alcohol before I put it in the resin. My mind just goes blank when I’m filming sometimes 😆❤️

I heard someone say that you can cut down the static on your molds with wiping them with a dryer sheet first. I haven't tried it, bought the dryer sheets and put them in the laundry room so I keep forgetting🤣 Great winter dragon, beautiful colors!!

@@thedragonscave4963 I think you didn't like the body because you couldn't see the contrast against the white like you could the feet.. I liked it. It didn't look the same all over and I liked the effect you did with the wool.

Hey karen. I think both turned out great. I like the choice of colours for both. Great work, and I've seen yarn on moulds a few times. I've seen people also lnit stuff and put it in trays. It's a pretty cool effect. Thanks for sharing ❤

Thanks for the tips! I’ve seen Steve Macdonald soak wool in resin and wrap jars with it and other people put it on the outside of bowls but the searches I did didn’t find any in moulds. The knitting in resin sounds cool, I’d love to see that if you come across it again ❤️❤️
