So Jon Walters (who was injured) was gonna kill Keano? Living in cuckoo land...

Walters gave everything in a green shirt..obviously not at keanes level as a player but keane would fight himself in an empty room.

Those Irish players are useless pieces of garbage. Walters was useless at Ipswich but Keane had no other players. He gave the guy every chance. But I think Walters started fancying himself as good enough for Premier and wanted transfer while faking injury.. Guy is fit and strong awkward but has 2 banana 🍌 feet. Hit corner flag from 5 yards out in front of goal several times.

Keane is right about Arter. 9 starts for Forest in 4 years, can't get rid of the guy. Forest's promotion to the Premier League triggered a one year contract extension and a pay rise so stuck with him for a 5th year. Trains with the U21's. No interest in playing or moving on, picks up his salary of 20K a week while doing nothing. Complete waste of space.

Accusing them of feigning injury is ironically what Keano complained about after he got accused of the same thing when he ditched the trip to Tehran and went to Saipan with a sour face and a nettle up his hole. Anyway, ironic as it may be it’s old news by now that Keano was a great player with no peers but a dick of a manager with no people skills.

Nobody is totally right or totally wrong but Keane should never have entered international management. A club manager can get rid of players who are deemed to have poor qualities but a national team has fewer options. Ireland often needed goals from players who were often injured and were rumoured to have mental health issues or were mad for partying. Roy Keane ended up in a catch 22.

Keano was a brilliant player and an absolute legend of the game but he just hasn't got the personality for a manager, better as a player.

Bottom line is Keane is a legend in the game who worked hard to get where he got. No one will remember who John Walters or Harry Arter are in 10 years. They’ve only got themselves to blame

When you fall out with Brian clough, Alex Ferguson and mick McCarthy then your doing something wrong
@hellalive89733 жыл бұрын
@@barrymckenna8547 He never fell out with Clough. Clough didn’t have relationships with players like that. Keane demanded the best from everyone around him. Imagine being a superstar at United, having as high standards as he did and going off on international duty with the conditions the players had under the FAI then and being managed by a guy that was no where near Clough or Ferguson. Of course he struggled under Mick.
@barrymckenna85473 жыл бұрын
@@hellalive8973 clough punched him, Charlton called him a disgrace, and Ferguson threw him out. if the standard was that bad why was it only Keane that left?
@hellalive89733 жыл бұрын
@@barrymckenna8547 Clough punched a lot of people that doesn’t mean they fell out. Ferguson threw him out when he was old and injury prone. Had he been 25 it wouldn’t have happened. Keane is an outspoken guy and if he sees something he doesn’t like he’ll call someone on it. Managers don’t tend to like that but when you’re the one winning games people will overlook things. As for Saipan and why only he left, probably because he was the only one stupid enough to put principles ahead of playing in a World Cup. All the stuff he was asking for and suggesting the FAI now provide for the players though so what does that tell you? Keane has made plenty of mistakes and is a difficult guy but my original point was that he is a legend in the game and he is. His drive and will to be the best made him the player he was was and helped make Man United the team they were.
@barrymckenna85473 жыл бұрын
@@hellalive8973 he was kicked out of United because he slagged his teammates on tv, when you fall out with people at EVERY job you get it shows there’s a trend. As for Saipan he should have went to players and organised a strike but no he went to the papers first to complain
