When they're were gods. I was a child in the 1960s and remember the frothy parade of variety shows on the three networks. Yes that's right. Those were the days. Song, laughter and a wealth of talent drawn for the golden age. The men all in evening clothes and the electric sense of surprise and delight. Lee Cobb doing a time step, great !

I met Buddy Ebsen in the mid 80s at a resort I worked at in FL and mentioned his pre Beverly Hillbillies work like working with Shirley Temple in Captain January and his great dancing. He said he appreciated me talking to him
