They should have retooled it with lots of rich people and people that could act it would have stood a chance then

I'm watching the episodes on STV Player. Spoilers but question: On 1106, Lynne and Emma leave for France. Sad to see two great strong female characters disappear. But within the space of these episodes we lose Andy Semple, Duncan Strachan, Sadie Mcdonald, Nick Stapleton. Why were so many characters suddenly cut from the series was there a new producer or did they all just decide to leave at the same time? Some of the characters just disappear and their interesting stories happened off screen it's really strange and bad writing. Why would you not have such strong characters been given at least one episode to wrap up the storyline on screen.

Fun fact: these early episodes were storylined by Tony Holland and scripted by Tony Jordan. Seven years earlier this duo had created the 'Dirty Den serves divorce papers on Ange' episode of EastEnders: the highest rated drama episode ever televised in Britain. So how could Eldorado fail?

A lot of time was lost on the first clue and asking those kids the directions. I think most of the time Anneke might've been advised to bumble around a bit to save Ch4 doling out the £1000 prize money. Second clue, he could've landed right beside to the pool.

Usually I give the homeless a pound, not propose marriage. Never buy them a meal deal, as they will hate the sandwich you choose and chuck it at you. Give them some money instead! Bad Karaoke from Trish, I would pay her money to stop. I don't think all the acting is bad in this. If you watched Corrie from 1992, this would definitely stand up against it well.

I led a partition to the BBC regarding the end of Eldorado. Obviously didn't work! Watching Eldorado now it swiped the floor with EastEnders, Coronation Street and the laughable Emmerdale. The above soaps are very predictable, have no real characters, nor an interesting story line. They are just the same old, same old. Boring. Coronation Street in it's day had decent stories going on with very believable characters. EastEnders, very depressing, always has been. As for Emmerdale, well, farming......no, judging by the age group that views Emmerdale they mostly seem to be pensioners 😂😂😂😂. Perhaps rename Emmerdale, ViagraDale😅😂.

Accidentally started watching this at 13. Never did see the ending or Bea's demise. Watching the last Episode 40 something years later Only reminds me what a lucky escape I had from watching cell Block H from beginning to the End. You'd need to be a juvenile to watch it. It was honestly like watching a very cheap documentary of people with learning difficulties. Very painful to watch, kept my finger on fast forward only because I was curious about the ending 😂 won't Ever watch it again !! 🤮
