Excellent video and I have a quick question. I am installing a bow mounted trolling motor on the back of my boat instead of the front. I don't have the space in the front and I have a rail.. so obviously when the trolling motor on the back turns left the boat will go right and vice versa. If I install the heading sensor in the front will it correct the direction that the boat goes in if I am heading to a waypoint or following a track?

They no longer supply oil with some or all reels. Like my Curado 301K. Or instructions with how to oil/grease it. Prob since they stopped including oil. Just a warning to cover themselves saying not to use too much. 😂😂 Will use my Daiwa oil and grease. Had to buy that. 😊 The Shimano oil is very hard to source over here.

Great video - I just received a Vanford and am impressed by the smoothness and weight for sure. My handle feels like there is too much play and after inspecting the long screw in the handle which connects to the reel body seems to be slightly loose and I can wiggle it. This then makes the whole handle feel like there is some play in it when connected to the reel. Does your reel have a similarly loose screw or if my handle perhaps defective? Thanks

Try a DJI osmo action camera. Its half the price of a GoPro and doesn’t overheat doesn’t glitch out. Better battery life too. Love mine.

Fuckin love those zoom ole monster 11”. I have a lot of dark bottom ponds in my area so i use the South Africa special color. And plum and jumebug too.

If you’re not fishing braid i wouldn’t recommend setting the hook that hard. Golf course ponds are always loaded!

I was running a 2500 reel and using braid. I could never use fluoro on it without wind knots. Switched to the Vanford and have no problems with fluorocarbon. It’s a surprisingly smooth and trouble free reel!

Shimano no longer includes that oil with the reel according to the multi-language sheet that comes in the box.

My 2021 Scorpion 150 HG comes with an insert stating that Shimano no longer includes a tube of oil with the product.
