Good grief slow the feed rate down. Better to run at 85% engine load than run at full load for one second and then 2 seconds not grinding anything while the engine recovers

Does this machine have any kind of defense against metal?

Not really. None of them really do that I'm aware of. It usually doesn't faze the machines to badly, but every now and then they will take in a gnarly chunk that will do some major damage. Once It passes through the machine some come with a magnet belt that pulls nails or whatever else went through and most places just have a hopper it feeds scrap into.

@ the loader operator...... thats how you replace roller bearings every 250 hrs bro. just load, dont slam claw on tub. otherwise great machine,, awesome video.

So with a down turn rotor if a piece of steel happens to make it into the rotor is there some kinda relief system or does it just chew it up some how without hurting the rotor!
