Nobody lived here 6 centuries ago, right? As a Czech, I say that we are descendants of a Celt and a German, a Jew and a Viking.we are definitely not Slavs!I apologize for using google translate.

Could you please turn the volume of the background music down a notch....it's taking over your narration.

Thank you for this video. I can’t believe I’ve been in Prague TWICE -in 2013 and 2016- and never heard about Anthropoid! Never even heard of the film until I saw it on New Year’s Day 2024. This video just made the movie even better for me, and we can’t wait to go back to Prague to see these locations.

I lived in Žižkov from 1994 - 1998, before that I lived in Vinohrady mostly, and many other places, beginning in 1991. My favorite district of Prague.

I beg to disagree. I bought tshirts in the countries I visited with the name of a country and scenic spot it has, not the stag party you stated. Likewise, I bought the Babushka doll in a different country because I wouldn't go to Russia even before the Ukraine war.

Well, to the locals it is a symbol of a regime which oppressed our country for 40 years...so ushanka hats, russian dolls, symbols of hammer and sickle...it all represents twisted regime which we're happy is over now :)

So true, the era in between the two world wars was the most prosperous time of our country. Too bad we had to deal with nazis till 1945 and communists till freaking now.

There's also the first song that is known around the world, Skoda Lásky, a.k.a. the Beer barrel polka, by Jaromir Vejvoda. Around WW II, every county had lyrics to it, and of course claimed that it originated in that country.

The whole Polka type of song is invented by czechs. It was named after poland, in sympathy with the end of their nation, as they were split between 3 powers.

I saw the movie back in 2016 and recently visited Prague and the Church. The door leading to the crypt is really a special piece of art. A few people were trying to figure out how to get in and when you finally push and the metal door gives away.. and when it closes it’s hard to open.. and there’s a tiny bit of light coming through the door. It really captures the feeling of being stuck down there. Prague is a beautiful city really enjoyed it and it’s rich history! Děkuji!❤

What a great movie! The action was intense especially if you watched it on blu-ray with subwooffers and tower speakers. Similar to HEAT and Predator 1. Sound is incredible!!
