Wow was this the last interview he ever did? Spooky how it ends with him talking about his engineer influences and they’re all dead. Nutty, I wonder if he knew his time was pretty limited.

Oh man, this might have been his last interview. I still can't believe he's gone. Anyway, y'all did a great interview - avoided all the normal boring questions everyone always asks him.

Goat "creeped me out" when I first heard it.... So tactile it felt awkward. Steve was part of that creep...

Unbelievable Steve. His awesomeness in life was as hard to comprehend as the fucked up news of his death.

I'm struck mostly by his candid humble nature. He literally seems like me music fan, audio nerd while being grounded as a musician. He will be missed. RIP Steve. He's probably in heaven rocking out with and recording the greats.

Relating scrappers to muh white supremes is a weird stretch. Didn’t even give an example. Most scrappers here are white and aren’t privileged from what I can tell. Poverty is universal. Hard work is universal. But whatever, good interview. I’ll see myself out.

Steve Albini - SixPack Podcast Interview April 2024. 27.5.24. jeeeez......time to spill the beans. we all had his moniker etched firmly on our brows when I was leaving my teens, heading into my adulthood. Some nice bands, some nasty bands, some rainy bands, some dunny laden happy shiny bands.... no time for the OCD amongst us? I concur......

Always love listening to Steve talk about music in an analytical sense. Still doesn't feel real he's no longer with us. RIP to this legend.

Steve Albini - SixPack Podcast Interview April 2024. 27.5.24. scrap kulture? Einsturzende Neubauten's joke rested on that entire sub culture. At this point one's heart sank, you think: he's given up....do have I, it would seem..... Msy as well be dead with that realisation....

What a loss. I had the privilege to watch Shellac live in São Paulo Brazil and it was one of the best show ever. Small venue, the Q&A moment it was very funny. I asked my stupid question but living now in Canada, I was hope to watch them live and ask for Steve why we still not having a song with Cowbell. Still not believing that we no longer have Steve Albini. Thanks so much for the interview. It’s aways delightful hear Steve talking about music.

Steve Albini - SixPack Podcast Interview April 2024 27.5.24 1209pm albini knew how it worked - there was no pressing desire to place stipulations on folks to get some semblance of loyalty out of them and vice versa... as for midwest or cruddy culture post punk record labels eg: touch and go or bone air or homestead... i felt those guys were trynna bring music around to some semblance of coherence due to it's death circa 1977-80... revisiting some musical trauma and then setting out some clean slate so's country music could make a comeback and light entertainment could take back the ironic stance clued stance punks kids had taken.... the post ironic state of affairs means neil diamond can be enjoyed, Engelbert Humperdinck can be spoken of..james galway can be referenced.... i'm not richard nor julie... p.s no idea why albini has been deemed unwholesome to such a degree that's he's now deemed dead..ie i dont believe he's jossed it.
