That’s a tough weed to eliminate. I’ve got it all over my pasture. It takes multiple applications of broadleaf weed killers and glyphosate. I think it’s connected from plant to plant by ryzomes underground. Bullneedle is tough to kill also. It has a tuber deep underground that looks like a wooden sweet potato.

When you say it is related to the dandelion, then I understood why I saw what I did the other day. I have wild chicory growing on my property . Last week I noticed that one of the chicory plants looked like a dandelion bush. I’ve never seen that before. There were tiny little dandelion puffs, all over where the lavender flowers used to be and I thought that was amazingly pretty and unusual.
@moseknowsnatureАй бұрын
I think what you have is Canada thistle. Chicory doesn’t get fluffy seed heads but the thistle does. Google Canada thistle and see if this is what you have. Good luck and may Jesus Christ bless you and your family. Mose

Berries white, run in fright. Love that! Whew, have had many a swollen and including eyes closed experiences with the three of not always leaves of three let it be. Though the white berries seems like poison sumac somewhat. Poison Oak, Poison Sumac (red in the head, wont end up dead) and Poison Ivy. On another note, reminds me I might have found a record Sumac tree. I need to confirm, though seems like 40ft tall though may have stretched due to kudzu or I may have misidentified since was driving by. Not sure what would have red ends like that though or something was playing with me with the light. Thanks for sharing!

I'm a Physical Education teacher and at some point during the school year I teach my classes about poison ivy. We identify it and discuss what to do when around it. I also point out the other plants in the area that have leaves of three and show them the differences between them. Most of the others have thorns and the leaves are different. I'm going to use the berries of white and the hair rhymes when I take the kids out in the fall. Good lesson for everyone to know.
