Adam, why not a Leica SL3, instead of M11 and Visioflex? Would make more sense for all these commercial shots and portraits. And the SL3 has a much better viewfinder and the weight is not much higher... Nice work and great portfolio!

Wondering if anyone is encountering the following issue. I have a Leica M11 and recently got the SL3. When I import photos into Lightroom, I see a color profile for the M11. When I do it for the SL3 I do not. I only see the standard Adobe Raw colors under the Lightroom develop tab. I contacted Adobe and they were able to replicate the issue on their end using a DNG file from the M11 and then one from the SL3. I thought Adobe was supporting the SL3 on launch, not sure why I'm having this issue. All my apps and systems are up to date.

Thanks for facilitating this conversation! As a amateur photographer who is embarking on his own photography journey, hearing Mark's journey was super insightful. I have been following Mark's journey for a while now and I still can't get enough of his work. Need more from Mark and others in this space!

Hmm dusty dunes and a camera and lenses that are not dust proof. Does not sound like a good combination. In fact, I used to take a lot of photos on the beach with my M246, and I still have not been able to get the sensor completely clean. My M246 also fails whenever there it is exposed to moisture, whereas the SL handles it fine. Another problem with the M is of course that the rangefinder can easily be knocked out of allignment, so I do not bring it on mountain hikes.

You photographed Malik with a firearm. Is there any concern this will be used as evidence against him? If he is a felon this in itself a felony.

I think an important piece to this is the level of tact this man has and hat can't really be taught. You can understand it but now everyone had this I have seen. It's important to work with your strengths, respect your own limitations yet be willing to challenge yourself and stretch boundaries with that self awareness .

This was very interesting, enjoyable and educational. Thanks. For me, the "elephant in the room" question that wasn't asked was "how do you handle the moral aspects of perhaps knowing of or having witnessed a crime or perhaps a confession to such etc?" That must be a very difficult line to walk when wearing both a stethoscope and a camera, trying to build and maintain trust etc. I guess the time may or will come when you would be called as witness... I'm looking forward to seeing the book
