Fun fact, at 0:59 , the move thanos does against hulk is the same EXACT move Hulk did against abomination in the 2008 movie during the end battle in Harlem. It happens right before hulk defeats abomination and chokes him with the chain. Thanos gave hulk a taste of his own medicine lmao (yes this hulk is technically the 2008 hulk)

I know its a movie and the whole point of this was for the plot. But doesn't hulk literally have super healing. And each punch could easily be recovered? Also Hulk has unlimited stamina so besides healing the entire fight and taking all the punches. He could handle until his opponent weakens from exhaustion.

Comic book wise thanos knows how much of a threat hulk poses he makes it a priority to put hulk down as quickly as possible before hulk can get angrier and stronger than him thanos actively avoids fighting hulk for that specific reason
