when i grew up inline skating i never wore a helmet. When i was 24 years old, an old lady stopped me and begged me to wear a helmet at least, because her granddaughter died of not wearing it. I took her words seriously and am wearing a helmet since then. I guess as long as nothing happens, everything is fine, but an accindent can happen so fast and it dont need to be your fault. I guess especially when you falling backwards and the head hit the ground its very very dangerous :/

Literally loves this video. I started skating 6 months ago at least 1x a week and I’m finally seeing progress now that I do something daily! I have to be okay with falling more but loved this journey and glad you’re safe ❤

Can I just say I love love LOVE the men in the comments section saying how women are valid in feeling unsafe in these types of situations and how men know not to approach women alone. I'm literally so proud of this comment section.

I've been in the dumps too and having to endure a very long dry spell, until I realized that life is good and I'm so lucky and grateful to be who I am and where I am in my life compared to the less fortunate folks in Ukraine, Russia, Israel, Palestine, or even the homeless in my city, so now I spend some of my time and resources helping the needy where I can, even through donations to KZfaqrs who help the homeless in their communities. Now I wake up feeling blessed and thankful that when you get right down to it, my troubles are insignificant and irrelevant when compared to those who are truly in need. Subscribed, and greetings from Montreal.

Why are these quad skates needed? The most true skates are inline skates.

No helmet is your personal choice…but if you get hurt and need medical care just don’t ask for public medical care. Pay for it with your bank account…don’t ask me to finance your personal medical care.

honestly, if you're not doing any jumps or one foot spins, the risk of you landing on your head is very low, so if you don't want to wear a helmet, don't feel pressured. knee pads and elbow pads- definitely. i have grazed my knees more times than i care to count and wrists are very fragile.

I think backwards skating is much more enjoyable once you get it. Seems like you can do more in that position , little more style, no what i mean.

Why apologize? No reason for them to get offended. Also If the parents bought their kids the skates then they can and should tell them and make them wear the damn helmet. I’m a beginner and not wearing a helmet.
