when using dominos or biscuits, I like to roll them in a small puddle of glue on a piece of scrap. This saturates the biscuit/domino and avoids having to squirt glue in the hole which never completely coats the joint. This method creates the absolute strongest glue joint possible as it covers ALL edges of the biscuit/domino. Squirting glue in the pocket is cutting a corner.

I’m sitting here with all these components in front of me, and I can ONE HUNDRED PERCENT confirm (that on the left one at least) the handle is on the wrong side in this video. The handles must pivot AWAY from the edge of the door (not towards it) in order to disengage the magnetic latch. Some narration would have gone a long way versus lounge music with no direction.

Yawn, it's a barn door with a concealed track. I guess it's not as ugly as a regular barn door, but either way, barn doors belong on barns, not in homes or offices.

This is supposed to be a video for the template set you offer to install the Compack hinge set, yet no where in the video do you show the gentleman using the templates! I had the misfortune of installing these BEFORE you offered the templates for sale. It was difficult but doable for someone with experience. It is NOT for the inexperienced DIYer. These products are all GREAT. But the installation instructions are confusing as heck. I even caught an error in one of the measurements in the installation instructions. You should have someone with zero experience with these products (but a decent amount of general woodworking experience) help with revamping the installation instructions. This will help with pointing out difficult or ambiguous steps in the current instructions offered. Making the installation instructions as easy as possible will almost certainly lead to more sales. The templates are a good step in that direction.

Looks like they’re lacking quality control when it comes to their videos. For example, a proviso is the hardware can only be installed when the walls are flat but one of their videos shows an open with raised trim. What’s up with that? Or are their instructions wrong? I’m confused.

Tradesmen, Joiners, DIYists, or anyone interested in your product, are more interested in someone explaining what is going on, not just a random guy doing random things, overdubbed with loud music that no-one wants to hear. Explain what is going on, what tools work best, what depth, what router bit and so on.

I’ve been telling them this for awhile now. The products are all great, but the instructions are sorely lacking. Even found errors in the installation instruction measurements. I don’t even wanna know what a contractor/handyman would charge to have to “figure these out” as-is. Took me an entire Saturday to overcome the confusing instructions/errors to install just ONE of these hinges. LOVE the hinges, HATE the install.

@@kalltryone4823I did. But like I mentioned, it took an entire day of trial and error to get just ONE of these hinges installed. Measurements will have to be adjusted depending on the size and thickness of the door as well. They’ve started to finally offer (overpriced) jigs that help aid with installation, so that’s a step in the right direction. But for YEARS they didn’t. For the price of these hinges, they really should include the jigs with each hinge sold. They’re Italian designed hinges, so they’re functional, beautiful, overpriced, and difficult to work on. Sort of like a Ferrari😂
