Because You gotta play Dark Magician Girl on top of playing Dark Magician. The Guy Spellcaster is reasonable to have in deck but adding in his delicious disciple is too much for most people to build a deck with.

​@@kreatorkeon4478You literally have Souls, Rod, Circle, and Salvation that can set up this board rather easily and quicker. Souls goes into DM, Rod adds Bond, Salvation searches Eternal, and Servant is a draw 2 while adding on top.

@@jobejacobs62 She does have value in the right builds but Dark Magician struggles with needing specific cards together to make a decent board, that becomes even harder to make if any disruption occurs. Dark Dragoon turbo is basic but you have room in your deck for generic cards and sub engines to win.

​@@kreatorkeon4478 False. I have setup this board with ease. Get rid of the handtraps and play DM pure with an engine that has a Ritual setup. You can use Impcantation to bring out Chaos Max to lock your opp out of monster effects as well. You can use Secret Village and setup the Dark Burning Magic combo to make it one sided.

​@@prototypejack4524 No, flamberge. As someone stated already, they can just negate the field spell with the fusion. Flamberge can just summon ip and then ip would make sp and banish the exodia fusion.

Locks into dragons though so unless you have a way to get rid of it might not be the best idea.

@kuto_p3 You shut off your exodia engine though. You don't want them in grave in this deck. Probably makes more sense to run magicians' souls and illusion of chaos so you can shuffle them back and ditch spells and traps you don't need if anything.

​@@nael_luna tbf in the EU the final was ritual beast vs tenpai, SE got to only top 4. SE is a rly strong archetype, but it's nowhere near unbeatable or tier 0 like tear, zoodiac, etc when they were at full power. It still dies to shifter, board breakers, nib (if you know where to nib), and ofc nib + veiler/imperm/ogre. There are ways to deal with them, and it's exhausting having to deal with them all the time, but I'd say the game is still fine.

@@BladeMasterz9801 I may just be too old school but to be honest I don't see how 1 single card bridging you to enough monsters for an entire 3 duel match is ok. Turn 1 even Shifter and Nib and things like that are just restrictions Konami can't put in place themselves. This game is really unbalanced and so cards that are lingering become necessary evil If Snake Eye was at least something like. Idk Ancient Gear. Whose only point is beating stuff down and OTKing. But it was ALWAYS built around that. It would be tolerable Snake eye is just an abortion pulled out because Konami forgot Fire was an attribute and got high while designing the cards through chat GPT

Terror is a brick for sure, but helps extend past yubel if you get stuck

@burneveryabc it's only an extendeder with OG yubel and another card that pops and the best one squarmer doesn't even have to pop so you're playing a level 11 brick just in cause in a specific circumstance
