Hello, I thinking buying this product, but I have a question and I would be glad if you can help me, do I need a specific structure to make it work, or I just can connect it to a HDMI or wifi via, installing a specific software y connecting all the panels together without any steel structure or something similar?

Nice. Just as you get to your speedy zoom at 27:20 I would have suggested that you give each individual strand a test tug as it is possible to clamp up the screw but actually miss the wire. I have had more than a few people with that issue over the years.

The cards are now coming out with pwm firmware and these seem to have different rcvbp files to the "normal" firmware so downgrading to v11.0x doesnt work as the rcvbp file is invalid. Luckily a similar crossgrade to v8.6 odd does the trick.

I’m not sure where you purchased yours Gary, the most recent batch I got direct from Colorlight had normal firmware and having spoken with Wired Watts there’s did too..

Keep up the good work on these videos! Having singularly focused videos like this on certain parts is a lot better than one long drawn out video. these quick reminders have helped!

Incredible! I was just watching your other videos and this wonderful update appeared. I just connected an old TV for the first time following your instructions. I'm excited. I know it's very simple, but for those of us who are just starting out with light shows, each step is a challenge. Huge and infinite thanks. Without your help it would have been much more difficult. Greetings from Spain.

Wonder if one could setup a 4:3 aspect ratio screen from those. I mean, old 4:3 would be used at 480p maximum.

Thank you so much for your helpful video and link to the files. I just setup a home made 20 panel P4 matrix and could not get the parameters to work correctly. Intelligent Settings would fail at the last step every time. It was getting frustrating. After downgrading the firmware it worked on the first time.

Coming here several years later, but how does one control the brightness of the panel using the FPP? If I use a BeagleBone there is an option to set the brightness, but if using a Colorlight card the option is not present?
@gregorymacaree46765 ай бұрын
You can either set the Brightness using the FPP Brightness plugin, or it can be set in LEDVision.
@LordHog5 ай бұрын
@@gregorymacaree4676 Thanks. Does the plugin needs to be installed on the Pi connected to the Colorlight card, right? Not the FPP player as that would set the brightness for all outputs to a certain brightness. I also found out it should be configurable using the “Diming Curves” in xlights , but haven’t tried that route yet. Thanks so much for the info
@tombonini73935 ай бұрын
I do believe that you may be a bit off on your port splitting. While it is true that you have a maximum number of channels per port, they do not have to be evenly split between the outputs per port. IOW, if port 1 is configured for 800 channels, output 1A could be configured for 600 channels and output 1B could be configured for the remaining 200 channels. At least this is the way it works on the Ver 3 F48.

Thanks for this video, it was a base of my search for a better audio output for my outside FPP speakers, i tried both of them and i found a better solution, there is a small amplifier in aliexpress that you can connect via USB as a sound card and will aplify 20W on each channel, when i tested this it blow my ears for just $15, look for AP15H

Question regarding your suggestions for an outdoor LED panel system I am in need of. I am currently constructing a dirt road course race track and would very much like to use outdoor LED panels at particular locations around the track to display Flag information instead of having workers present to display said flags. Such displays would range anything from a solid green, yellow, flashing yellow, red, or even a picture of a checkered flag to signal an end to a particular lapping session on the dirt road course race track. As the venue will have a track with length of 2.5 miles, I am looking to construct a solar powered outdoor wireless network, and use said network to control LED panels individually at particular corners, as well as have ability to control them all simultaneously, such as a "full course yellow" when there is a minor incident on course. Panels would need to be controlled wirelessly over distance, with solar power charging due to the remoteness of each panel. Please let me know your suggestions for such a system. I have seen race tracks use these before, but we're a start-up operation, and do not have the ability to bury cable to all corner locations. Thank you!

I have 7 64x64 indoor p3 panels and theyre a bitch to drive. Ali express wants 200 for a controller. A seller told me hed give me a free panel and the driver for half price if i bought 7. Theyre like an albatross. I tested one on a pi zero and it works. Id sell them and 2 adafruit bonnets to anyone in canada or the us for 140 cad and throw in high quality caps and even print or laser cut connectors. Id even include a pi zero 2 w and some esp32 controller boards with the parts for them for an extra 25. I have over 100k leds. I prefer through hole leds for art projects.
