I disagree with the person who said it isn't a landscape because I can see mountains, sky and a sunset. Also I love the fact that it is minimalist abstract art because even though it is only a few colours and a few scratches, it still conveys a lot of meaning to me. I think it is a wonderful piece of art that I would be happy to have on my wall.

Thank you, I am so glad you like it. Its so nice to hear what you see when you look at it. One of the things I like about abstract / semi abstract art is that the viewer can find their own meaning in it. Its very encouraging that you would hang it on your wall. Thank you 😊

Lovely as ever! I actually think there was something in that last one too, it did look briefly like it might go horribly wrong but once dry there were some interesting and different textures ❤

Your first "experimental" piece is just really gorgeous. It's inspired me to get some aquapasto which until this morning didn't even know was a thing. Something about the colours, composition and layering that is just really pleasing

Thank you, thank you, thank you ... this was the best method I've tried (after trying out other ideas from other artists), and I have saved my painting without too much effort ... I'm off to the framer now! :)
@annamabellaedgley6 күн бұрын
That is is great to hear. I really love this method too. Actually I find it quite relaxing even though its slightly more work than spraying and putting under a board. Also easier to flatten multiple paintings at one in my opinion. Hope the framers goes well. Always an exciting moment! Thank you for your feedback 😊

I realise now that the watercolour keeps its translucency with the aquapasto-it's just a thicker consistency?:-)
@annamabellaedgley8 күн бұрын
Hello! Yes.. exactly, it remains translucent. In the video linked at the end I added white paint (gouache I think but titanium white very similar) and so it made it opaque. Obviously gouache would also make it opaque. But yes with watercolour its translucent and thicker consistency! 😊

Thank you for your inspiring videos. I love your spontaneous brushstrokes that create landscapes that live somewhere in my imagination. Also discovered aquapasto thanks to you. Incidentally, what tape do you use? It seems to come off like a dream without damaging the paper.
@annamabellaedgley9 күн бұрын
Thank you do much for your support and kind words. I am so glad that the landscapes resonate with you. The tape is from a local art shop and it is unbranded. However, it is very ‘low tack’. It has the feel of washi tape. Actually I just googled ‘washi tape masking’ and some options came up. Its possible they are similar. I can not be completely sure but hope this helps!
@karenmoyes33938 күн бұрын
@@annamabellaedgley thank you, I might try washing tape, quite a few watercolour artists seem to use it 😆

The acrylic used in your demonstration, was it mixed with water or a medium? And if so what ratio did you use?
@annamabellaedgley9 күн бұрын
Its with water, I dont know the exact ratio but certainly just a bit of water. I normally just dip the brush in once and mix well. That would be with a small, pea sized amount of paint. Hope that helps!
