the grounding lug. anything that is powered/has conductive piping connected(natural gas/propane line!) metal objects near a pool needs ground wire bonded tgether, including the concrete embeded rebar/mesh. so no matter what occurs the pool/water and anything conductive is at the same potential of zero volts at all times. probably a total hack install on everything and needs torn out and redone.

what I see is an immensely impractical waste of everything. but they're sure showing up their neighbors! I wouldn't live anywhere near there nor bother with any of that junk, even with the top billionaires money. it's plain stupid and none of it buys you long term and certain happiness.

I've seen this movie before.(Mostly single Auntie's house) It likely had filters until they clogged or started to smell bad. At which point the previous significant other or son removed them and let it rock. She's there on and off They probably didn't run heavily no pets in the home etc. we took the pool cleaning hose attached it to the shop vac with a brush at the end went to town on the ducts for almost 2 hours pulled out half of a 30 gallon garbage bag worth of dust same with the evaporative coil and Blower wheel Rinsed the condenser with Dawn dishwashing liquid evaporator coil too a capacitor It's still running after 4 years and she saved up the money to replace it. It does show those were durable. 😮💨

I have a much older system then shown that some Piece of $hit - Master Tech would not even gas up with a bottle of R22 that I had on hand. He would let me have a brand new system for only $15k. I know it is illegal but I was short on cash and found someone who was not afraid to give the system a charge. He said the other guy was trying to rip me off. Anybody lying?

Mikey that is a 90% condensing furnace which has a secondary heat exchanger so all the unfiltered air would clog the secondary heat exchanger before the evaporator coil that why the evaporator coil looked so clean if the furnace stays on the new ac remove the blower and clean the secondary heat exchanger no charge for the information it’s on the house

Those systems were 100% not 20 years old. I wished we had seen the data tags to see the models and serials. Probably were replaced without a permit and inspection. That system and coil was far too clean to remotely be 20 years old, not to mention the design of the system. In 2004, those systems would have been R22 and not High efficiency, you can tell by the furnace design of the doors on the unit. The lack of filtration just blows me away. And I don't feel like the homeowner was being truthful about the systems. She was just clueless but knew it needed a new compressor and a new disconnect, yet didn't know what a filter was? She talked about another company that was there. It is much more likely that another company has been servicing it yearly and I would bet there are returns with filters somewhere. It just doesn't magically appear brand new otherwise. Something isn't right here.

If you were not explained how things function and what should be done to care for something I can't hold you 100% accountable for your ignorance. As contractors providing a service, it is on us to make sure our customers understand the basics and that they are comfortable enough to call us if they don't understand. First few comments I read are just pure nonsense IMO.
