@@Education7r-t3x Hi, Thanks for your question. I briefly read the rule on liquids in carry-on luggage. It seems not much has changed since I made this video. I don’t think you can carry 1 or 2 200ml containers in carryon luggage. The rule seems to be 100ml containers. And the little bag can only total 1 liter. The link in the comments is still good to the UK website. Best

@@Education7r-t3x Thanks for watching and sending a question. I think the answer is no. Based on the UK website, the rules haven’t changed much. Only 100ml containers. All in that little bag totaling no more than 1 liter. Best

Hello, if I am looking to get an Uber, is there an assigned area in the airport where one needs to stand at when using Uber? I am trying to steer clear from taxis as I keep hearing that there have been increasing situations where the taxi driver ends up charing more to the cuatomer than the price agreed upon

Hi, Thanks for watching and commenting. It’s been a few years since I visited Greece, so I don’t have an answer to your question. When I visited I was told that Uber isn’t popular in Greece. The local population finds it strange to get into an unregulated strangers car. We called Uber to request a cab to return to the airport. Greece’s economy is heavily dependent on tourism, so I’m sure you’ll find an easy solution. Good luck and enjoy the trip.

@@radioflashinfoHmmm....could the wonderful digital metering device be having a problem? Like electric "smart" meters have been shown to have at various times? I guess you would have to cut the line a few feet before the meter to see if it still allows water through when "off". And again, there is always the electronic part of the meter that may just be counting when it shouldn't. 😉

i'm probably going to get the vest version of this jacket. i don't mind the pilling so much, in fact i think it might help get rid of the "tech douche" or "finance douche" image that patagonia has unfortunately become associated with in recent years, leading to it being called "patagucci". i don't think a fabric exists that can avoid pilling, all will pill, sooner or later. it helps that i am not too fussed about it.
@radioflashinfo
@radioflashinfo 2 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching and commenting. The only “negative” comment I have about the jacket is the pilling. During the colder months I wear it almost daily. It’s warm, breathable, light weight, and all the pockets are in the right place with the right size. Because I use it so much and stuff big heavy things in the pockets, it’s stretched a bit. Which I’d expect from any knitted garment. Despite all that, if I had to choose one jacket as a staple in my closet during the winter. This would be it. Good luck.

Thanks for the video. Did you have to buy extra floor sweeps or anything like that to prevent bugs coming in around the edges? Also does it matter if it’s right or left open? Meaning can you just turn it to fit either directions? Thanks
@radioflashinfo

Hi, Thanks for watching and commenting. I didn’t buy a door sweep, although I could see the utility. Especially, if you live in a warmer climate. The only gap I notice is a slight one at the bottom, no gaps on the sides. If I’m not mistaken, I had to specify right opening. Loews also sent a guy to measure my doorway because I needed a non traditional width that the factory was able to produce. Overall, I’m happy about the purchase and haven’t regretted spending over $1k for a screen door. Note that the door does close hard and fast. I don’t mind at all, maybe the closing speed can be adjusted, but I’ve never tried.

From England the new chinese/Indoesian made boots are very poor quality compared to the true scottish made boots they are now made with hollow heels and shorter to save materials. All the Hunter wearers of old now wear Aigle or Le Chameau, Hunters are Scottish in name only a great shame.

Thanks for watching and commenting. Honestly, I was totally unaware of the 2 brands you mentioned, so your comment definitely helps viewers. From my brief research, it appears your partially correct. I’d venture that Aigle’s are partially made in France, given they provide a qualification on their website. Le Chameau, appears to be 100% assembled in France. Definitely, a plus for both companies. Given I’m a bit of an anglophile, I didn’t consider any other boot maker. So far, I’ve been super happy with my Hunter boots and wear a pair every time it rains. The past two days in fact. Nevertheless, I love your comment and I’m glad you’ve given us some options.

I agree 100%. A car is a depreciating asset. Fir most of us it’s also the second largest purchase we make in our lives. And we do it multiple times. Excellent decision! You’ll probably have to change your lifestyle a little bit, buy an electric bike/scooter and some warm clothes. It’ll be worth the savings once you overcome the learning curve of being car-free. If you have an Amtrak in your area, they’re offering 40,000 points if you open a credit card and spend a certain amount of money it. I was partially car-free last year and the Amtrak free miles really helped with my commuting across town. Best of luck

Thanks for watching and commenting. I’ve rented a scooter from Unagi for about 2 years. Initially, it was to get back and forth to the free charging station. Now it’s my primary method of transportation. The building where I work charges $20-30 daily to park a car. My scooter sits under my desk and charges for free. My coworkers used to laugh. They stopped laughing when they received their auto insurance renewals.

Piling can be a lottery. Just because you paid for a premium product unfortunately doesn’t always mean that you won’t have any problems in the future. I know some arcteryx fleece owners that have the same problem in less time and those fleeces are in excess of $150. I’ve a 12 year old $55 TNF glacier fleece that doesn’t pill. A garment technologist or someone involved in th manufacturing of fleeces could probably explain why a cheap fleece from Amazon, Costco etc doesn’t always pill and a top of the line isn’t guaranteed not to pill.
