I've used both systems, and the US is way better when it comes to surgeries, specialists, and emergency care. Canada does a great job with affordability, especially when it comes to the cost of medication. All in all, if I was facing a serious health crisis, I would much rather be in the US.

Small northern towns don't put up with big city ideology, know this and learn it before moving to a northern town.

I've been seriously considering moving to Elliot lake, what did you think of it and why did you move?
@davidmcgee62584 күн бұрын
@@kenlompart9905 I absolutely loved Elliot Lake. I had to leave the town when I was promoted by the company I worked for and given a position out of province. This was back in the '80s when the uranium mines were still operating. I have nothing but fond memories of the place.

@@davidmcgee6258 Good to know, having a cottage in Parry Sound most of my life I'm very familiar with northern living and love it, we didn't even have power or indoor plumbing for years in the 70s. I always said I would move up there one day and now that I'm retiring soon I will be able to do it, with all the research I've done Elliot lake is my first choice, thanks for the info.

i hate the new homes that get built in Canada looks nice to see one like that, but when its a 100 nearly identical houses or more it gets ugly real fast. The older houses you call not nice, look better to me because there is more variety. Feels much better to look at them.
@LifeInCanada27 күн бұрын
Some very old houses can be very nice when renovated
@tusk326027 күн бұрын
@@LifeInCanada True, tho even not renovated they look nicer then the identical mass produced crap houses you see these days. I know they are crap i come from a family of house builders and designers. The reason modern houses all look the same is because of the stupid overly complicated building code. There are a million rules and break a single one and you lose your building permit. There are very few people with the patience to read and memorise the ever changing million laws (they change every year) so everyone end up buying one design that does pass the code laws and copy paste it everywhere!

Have the same exact year make and model Volt, down to the summit white paint. Few points 1. The rotors and calipers are a major GM parts defect, made worse by the fact that they are not used as often as normal brakes. This is even worse in areas that salt the roads in winter. I had to replace my GM pads, calipers and rotors after only 60K miles. Now I make it a habit every few months to engage the brakes heavily stopping from 45 MPH to 0 while in Neutral. If you are in D, the regen braking will take over for the first 30% of braking effort. Have no longer had the caliper sticking issue. 2. The Shift to Park is a common bug on several GM vehicles actually. However this should be completely covered by the Voltec Warranty. Had it on mine, covered by GM and even gave me a loaner while it was being fixed. 3. Apple Carplay is finicky but works best when using the top USB port and a genuine Apple USB 3.1 Gen 2 cable. Make sure you update your OS as carplay is a function of the Apple OS itself, not an app. 4. If you have not changed the transmission fluid yet, I would highly recommend you do so. Its extremely easy if you do the 'replace the amount you drained method'. Hardest part will be removing the underbody covering.
