Are the electrical parts on the rr models junk as well or just on the xt model
@footit
@footit 17 күн бұрын
I would say so but Owen removed the original taco which i think is the same as the xt and just used an aftermarket timer. Consencious is that Beta lacks when it comes to its overall electrical systems.

Did old mate have a crack on the x trainer? What did he think of it?
@footit
@footit 20 күн бұрын
@@small6559 yes Owen did ride my 24 xt, keep in mind he has a 22 xt. We have both riden each other's bike and have more or less the same conclusion. Engine/power wise, there is very little difference although the xt is more linear where the rr is more snappy. The obvious differences are suspension and ergonomics.
@CryHardEnduro
@CryHardEnduro 20 күн бұрын
Yes! I've had a few XTrainers - they are a great bike. Engine almost identical to my RR300 Racing. Suspension is not as good on the XT - most noticeable on faster sections - the XT forks aren't great. The other main difference is purely the size of the bike - the XT is just too small for me - the RR is just right. I'm around 6 foot tall. For shorter riders, ladies, or budget conscious - the XT is great, and will take you everywhere an RR will.

As an Xtrainer owner JustinI agree with everything you say about this bike.I originally had an older standard one which I absolutely loved.Unfortunately the local bike thieves loved it as well so it was stolen! I replaced it very quickly with a way newer Xtrainer that the previous owner had done all the mods that people talk about so upgraded cartridges in the forks ,RR pipe and airbag mods/rejetting.These mods do give it a bit more go up top but in all honesty the standard bike was more than enough bike for me and weirdly I actually preferred the exhaust sound on the standard xtrainer pipe.Being a mid 50's hobby rider I probably don't push it hard enough to notice the benefits of the suspension upgrade as the standard forks felt just fine to me.I think the smaller frame which makes this bike so much easier to ride whether its standard or modified.I'm in the UK so we ride in some very muddy conditions but I've noticed that flicking into the wet weather map can make quite a difference in finding a little more traction at times.I've owned so many off road bikes in the past from virtually every manufacturer and the XTrainer is my favourite by a long way.This bike simultaneously makes me look like a better rider and is making me a better more confident rider.Enjoy

Hi mate, do you find the front end to be a little hairy at times? Its starting to bug me on mine! I played around with everything , set sag, compression, rebound , stem bolt tighter ! and still just feels a little unsettled and lacks that planted feel! Iv come from being on race bikes most of my life too so wondering if im just not used to the light enduro/trials bike feel! Cheers👍
@footit
@footit Ай бұрын
@@toddymcg comparing the bigger heavier 300cc bike like ktm and husky there are minuses and pros for both bikes I find. Your right about the bike being less planted like it can barge through anything and remain planted where the xt jumps around more deflecting. Personally for me I like a light front end as it makes the bike more playful and maluable for me. My overall take is that if your 85kg + and strong being on a ktm/husky is like me 70kg and less being on an xt especially in gravity defying positions.

Mate, saying you're not a good rider...you're a lot better than a few of the 'good riders' I've seen 🙂 Great first ride, I would have been a bit more gentle on her especially without protection fitted but awesome video and a really good insight into the bike's capability. @@footit Thanks, I'm 66 and am supposed to get a hip replacement 😀But still riding my KTM 450 EXC (a bit heavy when I have to put the bad hip side down (right side) and has bad flame out problems so frustrating in the really gnarly stuff but great in the wide open. I also have a Beta EVO 300 trials and still ride C grade but struggle a bit these days. That's why I thought replace the EVO and the EXC with a Beta 300 2 stroke. I've got a KTM 790 for the off road touring stuff (and 2 up with my daughter) so don't need the 450 for on road rides. I know 2 strokes are not much good for holding constant speed :-) Thanks for the encouragement 🙂 I've also been looking at the 200RR and the 300RR but it looks like the X-trainer seems like a nice option that's not as full on like say the 300 RR. Great channel keep it up

Hello, 70kg/180cm, i may seem tall but most of the height is in the neck, i dont have long legs or arms for that matter and find getting leverage especially on steep hills when off the bike difficult. Basically seat height was always a concern even on my husky but i find the xcw no different to the husky, the bikes are basically the same give or take but i must say i prefer the PDS over linkage, it's just my personal preferance at this stage.
