Yeah I remembered seeing something in the sprite but never paused to see what it was (or atleast don't remember doing that) but nevertheless seeing the hands in the fire ball just kinda threw me off for some reason, even though I don't know what else would be in there... But yes, the attention to detail here is excellent!

But I did try to sell my Sota Zangief figure and while I was taking pics for eBay, the foot broke off! Ugh... Thankfully I was able to still sell it but still... But yeah, this Dhalsim is so much fun!

I much prefer him being his own separate villain faction outside of the Foot.

Straight up, though the green ranger and shredder are so iconic. Even people outside of the the know recognize these characters. I feel they will both continue to be timeless.

Oh dang, I ordered these off of Big Bad Toy Store when they were first announced forever ago. I know a bunch of these were popping up in Ross and stores like that a while ago so I'd check there if you have any around your area. Like, Ollies, Burlington Coat Factory, DD's Discount just to name a few.

Yeah, that look is so sleek and simple yet kinda freaky like you don't wanna see it behind you or really anywhere because you know there's trouble coming. I didn't watch really any of the Next Mutation until we covered it on the podcast but I was still watching Power Rangers at that time but just starting to get out of it when the crossover happened. Well all of the episodes are up here on KZfaq if you wanna check it out. It's not the greatest thing I've ever seen but I absolutely love most of the other villains it introduced, especially Silver and Bonesteel!

Oh I agree. I can't explain it and certainly can't defend it by any means but I just feel weird about this suit. I totally get that people dig it though. I really want to but something doesn't work for me and I can't figure it out. But I think its mostly with the figure and not the live action suit on the show.

Yeah I'm totally biased on the MMPR team but I definitely love some other teams a whole lot. Especially after watching a ton of Super Sentai. And yeah, Mikey in yellow is another level of cool for me. I think it definitely stems from his sprite in the TMNT arcade game being way more yellow than orange.

I agree. The progression from record to record at least until BETAA, is pretty noticeable. And I kinda love them for that. because on the one hand you see the consistency in exploring the genre but simultaneously, the maturity of the lyrics and their scope. I kinda feel like they were too much of everything... they were clean, which radio loves, but too clean since they were associated with being "christian" that it turned people off before even listening to them. Then they were pop punk, which radio wanted at the time but too punk (sound wise) at least until SGTWOTB. It's unfortunate that they never got as big as Blink and some could argue even all the bands that they brought on tour like Simple Plan, Good Charlotte and NFG got bigger than them but they just sold out one of our bigger midsized venues in central florida and put on one of the best shows I've seen in all my years of going to shows.

@@EazyOpens My first punk show was MXPX, Life in General tour. They had no opening band and just played a couple one-hour sets. At the time I didnt realize how abnormal that was, in retrospect it was probably difficult for them to find an opening band that didnt turn off half their fans. It was a pretty killer show. Absolute best shows I can remember all involve Black sails/ Art of Drowning era AFI. The energy, vibe, and crowd size at that time made for an experience I've never seen duplicated.

Yeah, I'm definitely discovering that listening to a record for a critical review over and over, definitely impacts how you feel about the ending and beginning of the record especially. I think back on those ending songs fondly now that I'm removed from the review process but still think that they might have been better suited spread throughout.

Which always got me thinking about how different the collecting experience must be with that perspective.

Me too! I had the Sota Zangief and E. Honda. EH was pretty good but Zangief was weird. Can't wait for their Blanka figure. I don't feel like any of the companies that have done SF have really nailed his look yet. Also really looking forward to their Mega Man line!

If I recall correctly, you could just cut the tape at the bottom and slide the figure out without damaging the box.

ooh that's a fun question! My favorite animal besides a Cat is a Red Panda. So, maybe a brownish red color scheme with black undertones and a white gradient highlight? But I think my favorite color combos are generally Black and White but also Purple and Green. They've been using Black and White as either villain colors or for the "evil" versions of the main rider, lately.

Me too. I think they eventually did a limited press of this record on translucent blue with actual Blue Rev in the vinyl! I believe the general consensus is that yes colored vinyl can effect the sound quality of a record. Whether or not you can actually hear it is debatable imo. There are so many moving parts to vinyl set ups that literally everything can effect the sound. As far as my experience, I haven't really noticed any detriment to the sound on this one.
