Down in Galashiels, one day the previous train was running so late that I got it a few minutes ahead of the next one. We were run straight up, only stopping at Newcraighall, and were in after 42 mins, instead of the usual 57. I contacted ScotRail to suggest that putting in a fast train like this in the morning would encourage people to come to live down here and build up the population. The response was that it was too much like hard work! Soon after, a banner appeared at Gala station, saying people should move to a new development in Eskbank (about halfway up the line to Edinburgh) - as it was a quick rail trip into Edinburgh! Pollocks.

Been on the kyle of localsh line and its just lovely! There are fictional stations based off of it in games i play and i even make my own stations based off of it time to time in sandbox games!

They don't have request stops here in Northern Ireland so I've never used one, but how would one who is on a train request to get off at a request stop? Do you have to tell a member of staff that you plan on getting off there?
