It would be prudent to note, that any 'deterrence' by western powers over the Taiwanese issue, will not be seen in isolation by the Chinese. China has reiterated strongly, that it sees the 'Taiwanese Issue' as being an internal issue. This framework is a projection by the west, it is one that cannot be anything other than disastrous, when geopolitical and military logistics are part of calculations.
