What are your feelings about school buses converted into RV’s that park in Love’s big rig parking areas and fuel up on the truck side of the station? I don’t have my bus yet (40’ er) but will be towing my car and want to avoid difficulties or misunderstandings when possible. Just as a side note: I’ve read that many/most Walmart’s won’t allow buses or RV’s to park on their lots any more. Is this also true for truckers? Also, many RV parks won’t allow converted buses (Skoolies) to park there either. Why is this?

Any way of getting around LOVES high price they charge extra for non truckers to fill up? Most Trucker get a discount for fuel with a fuel card. Pure extra profit for the truck stop when a motor home pulls in.

Do not overnight in a truck stop unless they have designated RV spots, the truckers need to take their mandatory 10 hr break, you can find many places to stop they can’t!

I'm a professional Motorcoach Operator and we don't use markers. It's better to train yourself to know how the vehicle drives and not be dependent on markers. Sometimes road lane marks are worn down, there can be debris on the road, it can be snowy, you can't always see the lines. It's better not to be dependent on stickers. Learn to drive your vehicle, practice a lot before you hit the roads. Just my opinion as a CDL driver. I can promise you no CDL driver uses marker stickers.

As a truck driver I must say, yeah you’re supposed to “shut it down” at the pump. But if you didn’t notice, every truck in that fuel island is still running even if they walk inside. Get a spare key to lock your door. Now I’m not daft enough to think the extra 3 seconds it takes you to restart the vehicle is cutting into any of our “precious time” but it is less wear and tear on your equipment to just leave it running for the 5-15 minutes you’re fueling, pulling forward, going in, taking a piss, and getting a drink and your receipt. That said, there’s sons of bitches in these fuel islands who pull forward and take their 30 or longer inside the truck stop. Those people get a quarter stuck in their glad hands.

Golf cart batteries can be run down to 11.5v repeatedly with no damage. Go to a golf course and look at the rental carts. Those batteries last about 4 years in extreme usage.
