In this video (3:50 mark), you're in your Clients Workspace and I see there are 4 separate Clients. However, in another video I just watched, you recommended to have ONE Workspace for EACH Client. That video is a from a year ago, this one is 2 yrs ago...maybe you switch best SOP practice and now recommend to have each client with their own Workspace vs shared clients within ONE Workspace? Can you plz clarify, thank you.

Hi! If it’s client facing (the client is on the Trello board) then they have their own workspace! But sometimes clients are not seeing their board and it’s a quick project so I have multiple clients in one workspace!

Do your clients access their board and communicate with you asynchronously between sessions in Trello? I've used Trello for student management, but now trying to decide between Trello and Basecamp for client work. Thanks!

It depends on the client and the project. Sometimes they are a part of the board if my team and the client all of tasks related to the same project, but if it is something my team is handling entirely, then the client is not on the board and we use it as more of an internal project management system.

I'm still confused. If the client has work to do on there board how am I going to get it to populated on my employees boards or workspaces? For example a new blog is on the clients board. It needs to then be out on the content writers to do workspace where they keeps track of their work. Then when they finish the blog my web designer needs to be notified to then add the blog to the website. Then finally once that's done I'm notified to do the finishing touches.

Hi! Usually I have a "projects" board for each client and each list on the board is a separate project. Then each card on the list is a step-by-step to-do list to get the project from start to finish. I assign appropriate team members to each card based on who needs to be involved in that specific task. We usually tag team members who come next on the card so they know they can start their part of the project. Ex. Web designer would tag you on the card when they're done to let you know you can start on the finishing touches.

So for clients we would make a board for each one? Then under the board we would make lists of work needing done? Alot of my work is reocurring every month for each client. How would i do that

Yes, I make a board for each of my clients if they don't already have their own workspace! Then within the board, I have lists with cards to organize projects. Usually there is a specific list for recurring projects structured with week to week or month to month due dates on the cards.

This amazing. I didn't even know there was a work around to get more boards without paying for it. THANK YOU! (Trello has updated and the process is a little bit different now but i played around with for a min and figured it out. Essentially the same process but a couple extra steps. Easy to do.)

Hi Kat, How do you link your board (Kat's board) with the other boards from the other workspaces (clients' workspaces) ? and could you plz explain more how your board (Kat's board) function ? your board doesn't follow the kanban flow logic :/ in this case why don't you use a calendar view ?

I love trello and I am enjoying using it for my clients however ... all my clients seem to have access to eachothers boards which is NOT cool! Im wondering if i need to upgrade so I can get security.. however it seems that you dont have to pay? Any tips? Have I se tit up incorrectly?

Great question!! My clients have their own workspace so they can only see the boards in that workspace. They cannot see each others'!

Hi! Once you've created your custom design in Canva, you click "share," then "download," then you'll be upload directly in Trello.

Very nice video! However, a workspace usually represents a company or a set of projects within the same organisation or mission. Trello recommends that, although there is no right or wrong approach, each workspace encompasses a group, or a company, rather than a single project. Quoting the Trello website, projects are best handled as a board or multiple boards. This become especially necessary if one day it becomes necessary switching to a paying workspace.

Hi, how else can you add an opt-in option/waitlist without an email list? Can you do this by just having a landing page? Do you have any suggestions on this? Thank you

I wouldn’t recommend doing it without an email list! The helpful thing about an opt-in / waitlist is that it helps to grow your list and get your warmest leads in a segment.

Great question!! I would send to BOTH my waitlist and the full list. Typically I will have a series of emails specifically for the waitlist, while also emailing my full list about the offer!

Thanks so much for this BTS video! :) I just did my planning yesterday. In the My Week Trello Template I downloaded, I noticed each day has a "theme" (prep day, content, etc) but then when you showed your Google calendar, I saw appts on Mondays which seem like a Wednesday thing. Just wondering if you could clarify that. I love your videos! :)

Hi Danielle!! Great question!! I do currently use a Theme Day system myself, but my days are different than what is listed on the template! :) The template is just that - a template. I added a variety of theme days to the template that are "most common" knowing that whoever is using it (YOU!) can edit it to make it work even BETTER for you!! :) Currently I have 2 days for appointments - Monday's & Thursday's so my calendar reflects that. I hope that's helpful!!
