Hello, Aaron Enjoyed your video. Could you tell me if the senior cadet uniform is provided by the school or is it on loan and must be returned upon graduation. I was told that the senior boots must be purchased by the student. Thank you. I am a subscriber and my son plans to attend Texas A & M when he graduates from high school.

Hey there! Uniforms are loaned. There is a uniform fee every semester or year, but I can’t recall how much. A few hundred dollars I believe. Boots are usually purchased but can be rented. If you need to rent there then are almost always options available at the Corps Center!

Not anymore. What I’ve learned over the years since fully recovering is use it or lose it! If I’m training consistently then playing and running is no problem, but if I take months off and try to go play then my knees will get a little sore. So keep using them!

@calebaudia6654
@calebaudia6654 3 жыл бұрын
I would say the men are mostly conservative. I would say maybe half of the women as well, but the general minority-grouped population is liberal. There's honestly a mix and there's no reason to turn down any Texas school because of any political affiliation. Especially if going into any ROTC scholarships, most of them are just focused on education, working out, and just having fun. You'll find political-talking people that you'll associate with!

I have only one question. if your supposed to be a Senior Upper Class Cadet Leader, why does your dorm room look like a pig pen! You have crap all over the place your rack is not even made. Then you look at the Cadets who are under your leadership and their rooms are squared away compared to yours. What kind of example are you trying to make?

You had it so lax . . . This is why I struggle to respect Officers. For us enlisted’s we NEVER took our time getting ready, in fact I can’t tell you how many times I woke up early to shave before my RDC’s came into the room. Always had eyes on me. Then you meet those few officers who yell at you because the second you set foot outside your fucking car yuh didn’t render a salute! Like Bitch, let me have time to look at your rank, and if I clearly didn’t have the time to look, than don’t expect a salute, crying over not being saluted doesn’t make us respect you more, just makes you look like a tool. Very respectfully, An enlisted Corpsman
@ajtheeagle
@ajtheeagle 4 жыл бұрын
Jared Martin consider that this is school and also this was my senior year. It took 3 years of progressively earning more privileges to have that. That being said, I totally agree that respect is based on trust and respect, not rank; however, to not respect officers, or anybody, based on the amount of time they have to get ready is silly. I was still up at 0530, at formation, did PT, chow and hygiene all before my 0800 class.

AJ Schechter I understand that, It’s just a different environment entirely. You guys are smart though. An O-3 makes more money than an E-7 and E-8. It’s not easy advancing to those ranks enlisted. 0-1 to 0-3 however is automatic. In that sense I respect your decision to become officers. It was a wise decision by all means.

About brace usage and my experiements so far (9 days post op) I went through surgery here in Finland and they haven't even mentioned brace anywhere. I think you are right about not having brace on after surgery. It's important for knee getting its natural movements asap after OP. I don't see a point on having it on. ACL is very strong just after OP so there's no risk toring it again. But in my case they also operated lateral meniscus so that combined with ACL OP it's important to take little brake after op (not putting weight to a knee too early, too much) Also I want to guide people for not using pain killers. Use cold as much as possible bc it's the natural painkiller. Bc of icing I stopped eating medicines 4 days post op. (Sry for bad english)

Jaakko Impiö A few things: 1.)Your knee isn’t strong right after surgery, and there is a very real risk of re-tear. The brace is meant to prevent that, but also it’s important that your knee heals in a fully locked position, otherwise it will heal bent and then you’re fucked. 2.) Cold reduces inflammation, and as a result pain. Inflammation is an increase of blood flow to an injured area. You need that. Blood carries the nutrients that ultimately heal you. Icing slows that process and increases scar tissue formation. Both bad things. 3.) Tylenol-3 is what I was prescribed and not a dangerous pain killer, just stronger tylenol. All the same I didn’t feel the need to use it. To reach their own!
@zeikki4817

I think we have many views on "kneehabing". But still... I trust the level of medical expertise of my country and I want to follow their quidelines. I think our concensus is to use both, warm and cold. Combination of those two provenly increases blood flow in area. Painkillers aren't dangerous, but they causes tiredness through out the day, so because of that I stopped using them and I did better focusing on brain demanding tasks early on after OP.
